Through my transformation process I figured out what all of those symbols mean and why it is the only flat world I will ever endorse with full love and support. But, also, I realized that I took the slow way to my successes like a turtle. I live in the southwest, I love turtles (it's a Neverending Story thing - that's where it really started.).So that dawning of realization really stroke a beautiful chord within me. I'm with that kid from eons ago! I love turtles! Everyone I knew from school (I'm 47) has been fairly successful right away. I struggled for years with just about everything. Until now. Hilariously I have been conscious of the fact that I am one of the very few people from my class that has moved out of state (I moved across country 10 years ago) and I am the only one in both my birth and adopted families to move away from where I grew up. So, ha ha! Who is winning now! I live in Los Angeles. I work as a Background Artist. The strike is actually very convenient for me since my life has completely fallen apart in the best ways recently. Imagine the end of Fight Club if you took that metaphorically to represent the end of an old cycle - cancelling all debts - start over new. It's just a really strange time for me. Technically I'm still struggling on paper, but not for long. I don't have that old 'lack' energy anymore. Something will happen. No idea what. But, something. Eh. Until then I'm using my well earned relaxation time to do stuff I normally don't. I don't normally watch these kind of readings but my curiosity got the better of me, I confess. What made me come on here and write anything at all is the fact my brain realized in one moment all of that and then. It's the Full Moon. In the year of the Rabbit. Ah, 'little addictions'. Hilarious that came up in this reading. I have decided to keep my Mountain Dew daily habit throughout my ascension process. I have zero health problems and I am actually getting healthier and more fit everyday. I do not go to a gym. I kinda hate the gym. I'd rather eat dirty glass, truth be told. I call Mountain Dew 'The Nectar of the Gods' and I have chosen it for my extra little 'kick' on days when I just need or want it. Zero guilt, shame, or explanations. In the Spiritual Communities where vegan, raw, natural diets are the thing, my daily diet would look like their worst nightmares. Plural. All of them. (I respect everyone's individual, personal preferences/needs in all areas, please don't take that as anti- what ever your personal choice is. I love everyone's food. I am not that picky.) But, I decided; am I here to enjoy myself, or am I not? My body has always given me these natural breaks or fasts from both different 'addictive' types of foods and drinks for a very long time now. Suddenly, I just wont desire them for a week or two. Then one day I will want one again and, yep... Still love 'em. And, in the case of a Mountain Dew, that first sip in days or weeks. Oh, baby!!! I melt straight into the pavement and I see stars. It is very nice. In the mean time, when I go through the 'fast periods,' my body craves new or 'not-experienced-very-often' foods and drinks, so I don't miss the Mountain Dew because I'm busy enjoying all the new types of stuff. It's a pretty good system my body just naturally did a long time ago. So, I just said, 'FLUFF IT!!' and decided to not change my diet up one li'l bit. I actually find myself indulging in more 'unhealthy' types of foods simply because I take my time and savor them now. Not in a pretentious, snooty way. Or, I hope not. Yikes. - (Ok. Side bar: Who wouldn't mind taking a long-weekend finishing school course just for funsies and education? I'm thinking of creating one. Seriously. None of that 'nose-up-in-air' nonsense from the 50's, though. Just. IDK. Have some fun, maybe dress up a bit to help find maybe newer or fresher styles for ourselves, whatever we want to explore and try out, and learn how to be better citizens of planet Earth and to each other at the same time...While!, also enjoying exotic, lovely new locations. I really do love a good, wild, natural hot spring in beautiful settings in the middle of nowhere. Ya know, while also being "educated." If only high school had been like that. What a waste. Tsk-tsk.) - Every random sip of water/drink or bite of food I indulge in really enjoying it. If my body craves it, I honor it. Sometimes not right away, but I do not ignore it. I immediately put it in my grocery rotation and make it special. Lately, that's watching a movie to match the craving. It's kinda fun. (I cannot take credit for that. The incredible, beautiful gentlemen - who have made me cry more than I will ever admit out loud, whom I adore so much! - over on a channel called 'Cinema Therapy,' they do it with specialty popcorn. I just expanded it to, well, all of the things.) So, for anyone in the spiritual community struggling with harsh diets to conjure something to happen or not happen by doing that, (Honestly, I never understood that philosophy. It just doesn't resonate at all.) You do not have to give up the foods, drinks, uummm, or other 'legal-in-some-states' type of herb one might use in something edible. Wink. Wink. I have had the most connected meditations I have ever had in my life this year and I've never given up a single thing in regards to food or drinks. Why should I? The 'gods' don't really seem to mind. And, I really, really don't mind at all. It's a delicious world and I aim to enjoy as much of it as I am reasonably and healthily able to before I kick. I don't mind people calling me crazy or stupid about this decision because it leaves more of the really junky stuff all to myself. In Southern California, you can't find avocados sometimes for the demand. But, junk food and thick, creamy ice cream beverages? Miles, and miles, and miles! This pleases me. hahaha!. You know Empress, when I first started out wearing contacts... I had a super tough time of putting anything near my eyes. If you really want to wear contacts... you can do it. I'd suggest wetting your finger with saline solution, thoroughly, and then practicing dabbing your eyeball with it super gently. It's not going to hurt your eye. Your eyeball is much more resilient than we give it credit for.
We get over our fears by confronting them; but also by repetition. I used to be deathly afraid of spiders; and then I got to the point where I can have them crawl on my hand and up my arm, and it might still skeeve me out a little bit; but I can remain calm.
The first time I deliberately decided to do this, I simply placed my palm down flat on the ground at this bus station, kind of trapping the spider with my thumb and index finger spread wide up against one of those iron beams that served as a pillar holding up the ceiling. The spider could either go back up the beam or cross over the back of my hand or fingers; and it chose to race over the back of my hand. That first time was almost unbearable; but I kept doing little things like that until I mostly overcame my phobia.
You can do the same thing with your contacts. A whole new world opens up for you once you can see. And WAY better than glasses! Because there's no gaps in your vision.
Starting my TH-cam channel, I wasn't comfortable in front of the camera. I'd blank out, and my voice would tremble. I'm a pretty brave guy with respect to a lot of things; but for whatever reason, I got shaky doing this. I knew I was bad at it. So, I kept making videos and told myself that as I got more familiar with the process, my voice would stop shaking and going up in pitch. I'd stop breathing so hard. And all those things occurred, just as I suspected they would.
At one point, my mentor encouraged me to speak in public. I had a story to tell and he though I could make money as a professional speaker. The first time he signed me up to tell a story at the Dairy Arts Center, here in Boulder, Colorado... I threw up in the lobby. I came back several weeks later, after speaking at much smaller engagements; and even though I was still nervous in front of such a big crowd... maybe 100-150 people? - I was able to complete my story.
Some people have stuttering issues. Such as this salesman who I went to Toastmasters with a long time back. But through repetition and coaching, he was able to become a very good salesman.
Often those things that we imagine are holding us back, aren't the real reasons. Fear or FALSE EVIDENCE APPEARING REAL... this sadly holds so many of us back, including myself. The trick is not to not feel fear; but to get USED TO FEELING IT AND ACT ANYWAY. Of course, you want to weigh the odds... some fears are so small and insignificant; but some fears and the conquering of them will pay dividends for the rest of your life.
Those, Empress, are worth conquering... in my opinion.

Today I got a surprise. Growing up... I had many experiences, living in multiple homes with different families. I remember one family that had a plot of land where they grew stuff on part of it. Stuff to eat. Shelling peas, scrubbing beats and potatoes. Those were some of my chores at that place.
Later in life, I kept telling myself, 'I want to grow my own food'. But I had tried before, and had pretty bad results. Yet, I'm resilient. I think in terms of failing forward, like John C. Maxwell's book speaks about; and how my life has turned out. I've been good at a fair amount of things right away; but many, I sucked at right off the bat; but when I kept at it... I got better. In self improvement lingo, this reflects the GROWTH MINDSET... when you practice, even if you suck at first, you tend to get better.
So, I took another crack at it... growing my own food; and this time, rather than using starter plants, I started right from seeds. The feeling I got from watching those things break ground cannot really be described.
I went to Home Depot and bought myself those seed starter kits. They look like oversized ice trays, but made of recycled material.
Today, I had already put one with the container and all in some other soil in this raised bed that I got from Walmart. When I went to lift it up to actually plant it, I found that it has already sunk its roots into that new soil... the roots had ripped right through that container overnight! I planted the rest, this time mixing both potting soil and a commercial manure with my hands. I wasn't sure if the manure by itself would be too 'hot', which seems to mean acidic; though I could definitely be wrong.
As I was transplanting these little guys, I just marveled at the strength and resilience of life, itself, to take root in a new environment. I was excited about what the future had in store; as I realized that I was living my dream of wanting to live off the grid eventually, in small ways; even though, I was still renting an apartment; and my housing was being paid for by some agency voucher. (Later in life, after many diverse experiences, I found myself homeless, in shelters or even hiding out in the streets, stealing into churches and sleeping under the pews.
I've come a long way since then. Building towards my dream little by little, fits and starts, often falling flat on my face, only to get up again, dust myself off and make a new plan and take new action.
I watch these videos because I'm interested in my soulmate eventually; but I'm also just so curious about the psychology of the mind and how archetypal energies play out in our every day lives. It seems to be a thread that connects people no matter where they come from, what race, creed, or culture, or set of personality traits they might have and exhibit.
