This was such an amazing set that night in Dallas in September 2019 at the Eric Clapton CROSSROADS Guitar Festival. Johnny Depp simply walked on stage -- there was no introduction or announcement. He and Beck immediately started in with this song, "Isolation" and you could hear the audience all around trying to figure out who that was on stage. "Who is that?" "Is that Johnny Depp?" "No way..." "Oh, my God, that's Johnny Depp!" And on it went for the first half-minute. Finally, people settled down and enjoyed the music -- so fantastic!

No-one else has ever or will ever be able to sing the words "You're just a human, a victim of the insane" with as much poignancy and honesty as Depp does here. This recording needs to be #1. I sort of enjoyed the isolation, and yet the desperation of Depp's vocals and the soaring guitar of Jeff Beck dug out a lot of the sadness of my own loneliness.
