Hi I live in the U.K and I use a product that garage workers use to clean their hands, to get stains out , you rub it in before washing. You may have something similar over there.🇬🇧❤
Gucci bag looks authentic. You can give the body a gentle wash with a soft brush and mild soap. Use circular motions. Wipe clean. Let dry. Condition the leather. I sell bags, and I would have picked it up, but you have to do a little work. Good luck!
Thank you so much!! Appreciate the tips!! What do you do with canvas that has been worn through and frayed or torn? It’s like that at the pleats. Would love your advice on this!
@@ARuralSquirrel oh my! Couldn’t see the tears on the video. Well, you can clean it, and sell as is. I still think you might get $200 for it. Again, good luck!
I went to Orlando bins today! lol I got the itch after watching your video! I moved from Tampa to Orlando area like 2 months ago. I bought 28 lbs. Did ok on shoes!
It looks authentic. I would sell the Gucci as a cutter bag. People recycle the fabric and make keychains etc so it will sell. The Orlando bins can be intense. I went there earlier this year. Great show!
Hello Kristen, To me, that is the thrill of going to the bins, you never know what your going to find. Every trip is different. Enjoy it each time !! 😊
I know zero (nada) about Gucci . So I would just carry it or gift it to someone. I'm excited to go to the Houston bins when I get moved I've heard there are 3 of them. So I will let you know . Feel free to fly in and check them out . Heck I will pick you up at Hobby Airport lol I will not have my own house until next spring . But if I did, I would invite you to stay there . I have one favorite Goodwill that I go to in Houston . I'm excited to be able to go there at the first of July !
Same here in Las Vegas, no signs, no rules posted but you pull out a phone and film you will be kicked out. Could be because there’s people that can’t be seen on the internet. Think about all the people like those that are in the witness protection system or that are hiding due to an abusive relationship etc. you never know who you might catch on film or who might be watching.
Sure. I hear where you’re coming from - but there “there is no expectation of privacy in public”. Plus, Goodwill has cameras on us. It’s a regular business - not the witness protection program! And the corporate stance on filming is to go ahead, they don’t mind at all! I have an email from a local goodwill that confirms. I think people today just make a big deal out of nothing!
Glad to see you post a thrifting video as I hace missed them!!!! I would have never even thought to look up that Disney purse ~ WOW... I really wanted to travel to some out of state bins (Denver for sure) now that I am retired, but I do not have the sales yet. Where else do you plan on visiting?
I hope you get to get out there and go soon! Keep at it! Set a goal, and gooo!! I’m hoping to get to some more locations soon! Maybe Michigan next? Idk. Thanks so much for watching!!
Love the bins in CO!! There’s actually 4 locations in the Denver area (if they haven’t closed the Aurora location yet). One in Englewood off of Santa Fe. One on Kearney. And one on Federal in Westminster. There’s also one in COSprings. Hope you go and find some fantastic stuff!!
It looks like you went to the Taft Orlando outlet. People can be super aggressive there. You found some great stuff. I go to the Orlando Pine Hills outlet, which is smaller and less stressful.
I live in Naples, visit Orlando often and shop at the Taft bins. Never been to the other bins location but certainly is on my list. Agree that the Taft location is stressful; crowded and somewhat mean!
I think that is so silly, our KCMO bins won't let you film either. Now the people who do Whatnot auctions inside the bins before they even pay for the items, I don't agree that should happen. Look into the Ray Bans that film! They'll never realize they aren't just glasses :) LOL.
@@ARuralSquirrel I've now been able to go to several bins in several different states and they all seem to make up their own rules. KCMO doesn't allow anyone under 13 years old either... which is good and bad because my grand can't go with me anymore.
I would have passed on the Gucci since it isn't sellable. Chance to sell the handles/hardware is slim. I go to my bins and I had a hard time leaving a vintage leather coach. I can clean & condition them but it had too much damage (found last week) but I am still thinking of it. Then yesterday I found a Tory Burch tote that was too worn on bottom to resell and I truly debated getting it for myself except I didn't need it. So I left it for someone else. I was shopping for reselling and found a cart full of goodies! I only got one item for myself- pair of linen pants. If they don't fit- will resell. ❤
Thanks for your thoughts on the Gucci. Thankfully, it still has value - even in this condition. BUT, I think I have another plan for it…stay tuned! Updated on it to come! I pass on a lot of Coach too! Just doesn’t command the price it used too. Hope the pants worked out for you! Thanks so much for watching and commenting! I really appreciate it!!
Sometimes I’m not in the mood for it either - so I don’t dig where all the people are. There’s always a quiet little spot where you can go dig all by yourself. And soooo many if the bins that I’ve gone to are super chill! It’s worth it to at least check out your local bins and just watch or observe from a distance to see what yours is like and where the chill spots are at that location.
Thanks Lisa!! 💖🐿️ You can either consign with The Real Real, or have them authenticate for a fee. It used to be $20/item but I’m not sure if that’s still the rate. I guess I’ll find out! 🤞🏻
Hi! I would like to go with my teenage son, what time do you think is the best time to go? I have extreme anxiety and would like to go when it’s not insanely busy
Great question! But hard to answer. They rotate the bins fairly often so anytime to go is a good time. As far as a slower time and anxiety, I completely understand! I’d suggest you just go whenever it’s convenient for you but maybe hang back from the new rotations, at least at first, until you’re comfortable. While they are going crazy in the new bins you can just dig in some of the other bins already on the floor where nobody is digging. You’ll do great! Have fun!! I love it that you’re taking your son!! Thanks so much for watching!
Hi, I seen your movie that when you were in Rogers Arkansas sorry I missed you that’s where I’m from. My question is the money that you make off of the bands and it’s none of my business, but how can you make any money flying anywhere the way the prices are. ?
Hi. I know in Dallas they are very picky about filming! It is posted, but their drill sargeants (aka employees) wouldn't hesitate to bounce someone out there for "filming".
I wouldn’t sell it if it comes back as a dupe. 1) it’s not allowed and 2) I don’t want to validate those fraud manufacturers so I’d make sure it didn’t go back into the market. But if it’s real, I think it would sell for about $100 or so. Maybe more. Maybe less. It’s a gamble for sure!
I would give the Gucci bag a hard pass. Not worth the money to get it authenticated UNLESS you think of spending the money as an education. Then, it might be money we’ll spent.
I’m going to just give my two cents of thoughts on the Gucci pieces you purchased. It’s a sad, sad world when we feel the “worth” of an item is due to a designers name on it. I realize that new pieces are well made and have a following that will pay quite a bit for the “name”. But the reality of any consumer who wants items that are in bad condition because of a designer name is, to me, ridiculous. There are so many well made, well cared for items in the second hand (and original) marketplace that you can purchase for a fraction of designer pieces. Is it so people can think “I look like I have money.” That’s my soapbox for today.
I understand your perspective and completely appreciate the opinion. My job though it to find items that have value and will flip quickly and save it from a landfill. I look for things with a decent margin too - and the brand name like Gucci is a sought after item. Besides, you know what they say: “One man’s trash…” As far as this particular bag though, I think I’m going to give it some love and upcycle it into something that will really improve the condition it’s in now and make it a beautiful, usable piece again! Stay tuned!!
Just happened upon your video. I live in Orlando. I have been to a bins store here but not this one. I'm excited to check it out! Thanks!
Yay! I’m glad you found my channel and I hope you find some amazing treasures at these bins!!
I'm in Virginia this week visiting my son who is stationed in Norfolk. I'm going to check out the local thrift stores with him on my visit.
Oh my gosh!! That sounds like THE PERFECT DAY!!!💖💖🐿️💖 Hope you have so much fun and find awesome stuff!!
Great haul Kristin! I haven’t been to the bins since we came home from Nashville. I think I’m overdue!!!
Waaaaay overdue!! Let’s meet in STL and go!

The only other state I have been to a bins store was Green Bay, Wisconsin. It was a St. Vincent DePaul bins store not a Goodwill one.
I’d LOVE to go to a St Vin store!! #someday!

Love that wall.
😊Thank you!!
Goodwill just needs to get over themselves!
Bahahaha!! Right Tina!?!
Hi we don't have bins here nice bags good luck love Patricia curry Danville VA ❤
Aw man! I wonder how close the nearest bins is to you?
More and more bins locations seem to he doing this.
Sadly, there’s are a bunch that are weird about it

I'm in Colorado, not sure if we have a "BIN" place
Denver area I think has 2 bins locations. Google is your friend. Search goodwill outlet near me

Yeah…I got in trouble for filming in KCMO!! 😔 Seems silly really because the corporate position on filming is that they don’t discourage it. 🤷🏻♀️

for some reason i never noticed all the rings you wear, have you ever lost any in the bins
Great question! Nope! Never!

Did you Google the serial number? Sometimes it will say if the number is used by counterfeiters.
I did. And it came back with the correct bag style! 🤪 So that’s a positive step!! 🥳
I would love to go to one of those but my anxiety won’t let me. Too many people pushing and shoving. I can’t 😢

TBH, we travel a lot anyway, not just to go to the bins locations. So, I just go if I happen to be in the area.
Is that the one you and Paul ( philly ) got in trouble in?

How much would an "as is" maybe or maybe not Gucci go for (if you were to sell it)?
I wouldn’t sell it if it comes back as a dupe. 1) it’s not allowed and 2) I don’t want to validate those fraud manufacturers so I’d make sure it didn’t go back into the market. But if it’s real, I think it would sell for about $100 or so. Maybe more. Maybe less. It’s a gamble for sure!
