Actually, if the women touched him, that would be an instant Ok or even Try again. Upon the women touching the Samurai, he drops his weapon. In order to counteract that effect, he had to prevent the women from making contact with him until he knew it was safe, as Indicated by the defeat of the Purple ghost.
