Apologies for the lack of stabilisation and intense brightness - at least I hope you appreciate the photos! I only had my spare camera as my camcorder was damaged recently. Currently looking for a replacement as, despite the great quality and features, my Sony AX53 isn't very durable and is easily damaged when spotting or at incidents. Additionally apologies for the little scene footage, I was late arriving as most incidents aren't reported live in the area.
Yeah but the UK isn't used to wildfires at all. It's rare for the temperature to pass 20 nevermind 30 so we weren't really prepared for any wildfires. Hence why we deployed the Military to the larger ones
Joe W The 2 Yorkshire Air Ambulances G-YOAA and G-YAAC, Eurocopter H145's , G-EMAA is Midlands (County) air ambulance an H135 , one or other of the YAA's regularly comes in the NGH just down the road from me
I will make you fat police drones would be used to gather intelligence about a incident and would be used to see where exactly a incident is unfolding so members of the emergency services don’t have to go in to potential dangerous situations without the correct resources on scene and in this instance it was used to see where the wildfire is exactly and how big the fire is
Think of the police helicopter, but downsize, take away some power, lower the height of flight, remove the crew and lower the operating costs... it's now a drone. It has a very similar function, search for people, tracking vehicles etc but can only be use over a relatively small area. Cheaper, but not as practical as the helicopter. In this case its using thermal imaging to detect “hot spots” on the land, where a fire could easily reignite

Can also be used to document a car crash site more quickly

i was there doing DofE at the time
Fire fighter told us not to fly drone near the scene so why are they
They use drones for looking for spot fires that have jumped from the main fire.
Cool footage! Shame of the Sony, might look for a Panasonic?
