  • Gerringong Falls is a waterfall that is simply too good to be true! Whether you are visiting the top or the bottom both are extremely rewarding and an incredible sight to see! Gerringong Falls in situated in Budderoo National Park, NSW Australia.
    PLEASE READ:
    This waterfall does not come without a warning. I tend to share the more positive side in my videos but Gerringong Falls is not for everyone. There is a reason why there is no purpose built track. It is incredibly steep, slippery and dangerous. Multiple tracks will lead you straight to the edge of the cliff face. I would not recommend going alone without the appropriate navigation. It is very easy to get lost. I share this video not to promote this waterfall but rather to allow others to see it that might never get the chance to. And remember, please respect the path in which you walk. H x

    An amazing video with cycling, hiking, pathfinding, swimming, teamwork, bugs, falls, stunning bush, crazy rock hole descent and what I learned "don't take a full size towel". Loving your content and creativity!

    Looks like an amazing waterfall, unique how it has shelves that step down into the water, a remarkable geological site

      Yeah we left Victoria and drove into New South Wales, these falls are about 2 hours near Sydney. The falls were amazing! Definitely a long way down!

      I am quite surprised I survived the day with only one slip and at another point: one grazed shin. 😛

      Haha I first saw it on my hand then we flicked it off and didn’t know where it landed before it showed up on the handle bars 😛

    Wow - great spot!! Two questions - was the pool at the bottom natural? It looked like there were almost steps(?) squarely cut into the side of the pool. Also was it freezing?! Looks like another great hike to add to my to-do list! Well done!

    • @settohike
      @settohike  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah it was natural! Even the rock above was a perfect rectangle as though it used to be one whole rock then the middle broke away although I’m no expert on how rocks do that haha but it took the term nature’s swimming pool literally! And yes unfortunately it was freezing!! There were a few moments of the sun coming through the clouds but not many! 😄

    That was soooooo beautiful! How was the hike back, though?

    • @settohike
      @settohike  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It was! I still think about how cool the square edge of water is! We got lost once and we saw a baby brown snake on the way back haha it ended up being a 9 hour day so we were pretty exhausted by the time we got back to the car!

    • @allin3940
      @allin3940 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@settohike yes, I bet you were exhausted but so many great memories were made!

    Theres no way that is natural. Love to hear what Graham Hancock thinks about it.
