I went to Disneyland Paris three times between 2001 and 2004. I remember Space Mountain: de la Terra a la Lune. I thought it was the best Space Mountain I had ever seen (having been many times to Anaheim and Orlando and ridden their Space Mountains). I never saw the other versions in Paris, but am glad I got to ride the original there so many times.
@@themainstreetnews Hyperspace Mountain is ok. I prefer Thunder Mountain at Disneyland Paris. Overall though, all three Disneyland Paris inverted rollercoasters have issues (Hyperspace, Indiana, and Flight Force) and other parcs are better in this segment - even family theme parks such as Europa Park.
I mean, Europa Park has a lot more thrill rides than Disneyland Paris. I would also like to mention that it’s probably easier for the to build good roller coasters as they’re owned by Mack, one of it not the biggest coaster manufacturer…
This is one of the best videos I’ve ever seen on this subject. You’ve found so much great footage of the old ride and its construction! I immediately subscribed 😄
I heard that this saved Disneyland Paris and was said to be the best version of space mountain I watched a video of it and it did look good. If I loved coasters I would probably go on it. Final thing it’s actually my mums favourite ride but she has only ridden the hyperspace mountain version.
@@themainstreetnews my mum loved it as hyperspace mountain but I do agree maybe if they did add the Star Wars land in the studios maybe a Star Wars coaster could go there. I would love to see earth to the moon to be back because I’ve never seen it personally before and the music sounds so good.
newcomer,i LOVED the video,is always fascinates me the history of this ride, and the defunct first version i will never ride,i might be from the wescoast, but GOD i love paris versions of space mountain and the haunted mansion that the ones here. it sounds like the weirdest thing ever but the overlay i would have prefered to have in 2017 and ongoing now...would have been ghost galaxy instead of hyperspace mountain....i do have an armchair idea i havent developed propper but i had tough for a while.... but overall i if there gonna bring just ONE...thing from the original version...just bring all the music related to the first version,i loved the backgrounnd music they used on the queue and I LOVE the theme used on the ride, might be my favorite piece of music from any theme park media. but yeah....i hope they get rid of the star wars theme tho i dont think it will happend... #bringbackthemoon
First of all, welcome! I agree with you, the music was one of the best parts of the whole attraction, I play the soundtrack almost every week 😅. I’m still hopeful that one day Disney refurbs Space Mountain and returns it to its former glory!
I’m a huge Star Wars fan, and while I enjoy the ride, it’s mostly pitch black with some moving lights and projections… for myself at least, it doesn’t feel like a space battle. But hey! That’s just my opinion!
@@themainstreetnews it's funny, I've been there in September and I thought I saw just enough! I remember seeing TIE fighters, x wings, Star Destroyers, and several light dots as if they were stars. And I remember the ride going straight through green shots fired by TIE fighters!
I PRAY they bring back this original version!!
Same here… same here…

I rode Hyperspace Mountain several times in the past few days and confirm: the original Paris Space Mountain was much better!
As a ride, Hyperspace Mountain is really good. It’s just so sad to see what it once was compared to what it is now

Loved watching your professional video 👍🏻👊🏻
Thank you!

It pretty much did! It’s a very nice roller coaster but Star Wars just doesn’t belong there…

Space Mountain today I think is still a good ride
Oh it definitely is, it’s just not as good as it once was (unfortunately 😅)
With the number of people using #bringbackthemoon, disney might bring back the original attraction in the near future
Let’s hope so! I would love to get to ride that one day…
But if you're a Star Wars fan, the Hyperspace Mountain version is heaven on Earth. It really puts you in the middle of a space battle!

@@thestarkknightreturns that’s great! I’m glad you enjoyed it 😄 The ride itself is still pretty good, for sure!
