Im not sure if it was their intention or not, but for MNUFC I like the white bottom. It reminds me of snow, or the glint of the moon on water. It really envokes the feeling of the MN well. As for how pretty it is, I wish the Northern Lights found a way to work in green however, as its a very prominant color in them.
I could be wrong, but the way the white part is shaped makes me think that it might be an homage to the skyline of Minneapolis-St. Paul. So like, an "aurora over the city" design.
The thing that really frustrates me with LAFC's away kits (so far) is that they're the only team that's sitting on an *actual* gold mine. A gold jersey would not only look fantastic, but also sell incredibly well, and a great point of reference would be the Vegas Golden Knights of the NHL. They not only rock the gold colour, but their jerseys have a glittery texture that makes them shimmer, too. With regards to Inter Miami, there's two things I think they could do to really make a black jersey design pop. One, they could use some pink outlines of palm leaves on the chest to give it a nice Floridian look and feel; or two, they could embrace Miami Vice colours and make a black jersey with pink and cyan accents. Their supporters groups already love to use that combo, so it wouldn't look too out of place.
It's not fair that Portland has the Rose Kit for home games and the Plaid Kit for away games. It's one of the best home/away combos in football (behind Barca). As a Galaxy fan, I really like the colors but if you look at the home kit... IT'S THE SAME EXACT DESIGN!
This is one of the best ratings I’ve seen yet! One of the only ones I disagree is Cincinnati but this is still such a great list, you really hit the nail with STL City SC away kit! Edit: I’m also wearing the STL City home kit while writing this 😃

When he calls a decently creative kit with a design, "Boring", I just think about how as a Galaxy fan our "City of Dreams Kit" is literally just a white shirt with the logos and branding :D
I disagree on FC Cincy. The River is by far the best home shirt we’ve had since the inagural 2019 kit. And I’ll miss the Orange next season. But the River is a great kit, and the Roebling Suspension Bridge being part of it is great.
I wanna be clear here… I’m happy that St Louis didn’t do a “home white” kit like a few years ago’s MLS norm. And on that away kit, I’m glad it’s not just a straight generic white. That being said… grey isn’t much better. You could have had a gradient grey background and do a take on construction tape with the St. Louis yellow/blue. It would have been a swing and a hard miss BUT AT LEAST there was an effort made.
I’ve seen a bunch of people comment that the Earthquakes copied Real Madrid but nobody seemed to mention LA Galaxy copied Ajax with their last away kit. Same exact design just changed the colors on the stripes
I just saw something popping around too that the Union's shirt is a rip off of a Manchester United training top! Guess everything isn't as unique as I once thought
No one copied no one Adidas is the one who designed those jerseys and they send those prototypes to the club so the club select the one they like the most and that’s it. Adidas and Nikes are the two branches with the most contracts in sport .

I think there’s a difference between using a boring template and a good kit template. SJ using the Real Madrid Adidas template is A-OK with me as it’s actually good. (Peep Nike and puma for examples of shitty design templates being reused)
I see the reasons each time. Each one seems as stretched as the rest. Centenary, recognizing a club legend, industrial city…I don’t buy any of it other than they know people will love it and pay money for it. But, that’s with every shirt. Marketing teams put bs reasons behind every design to get it off the shelves
FC Dallas jersey is whack. The flames look like leafs and grey wasn't even part of the Dallas Burn color. They missed a big opportunity use the original color way: olive, black, red and white. -D
The jerseys look pretty great, but I’m not really giving a liking to some of their new logos, especially the Montreal new logo. I liked the old snowflake ❄️ logo bc it gave them a sense of identity. Montreal is a cold city up in Canada, which fits perfectly with the snowflake logo. Also, the two small French crosses on the old snowflake logo gave the final touch bc Montreal’s natives speak French. Now the new Montreal logo looks a bit weird. Good that they still added the French cross, but creativity is lacking on the new Montreal logo.
It’s an American thing for some reason. The league signs a deal with one manufacturer instead of letting clubs make their own deals. It’s the same in the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, etc.
If you want more exciting kit designs, you need to open up the market to any kit manufacturers like they do in every other football league... Everything as Adidas is just boring
All soccer kits suck. The sponsor on the chest is ridiculous. Walking billboards for different random companies. Let the players where the jerseys and you buy a team shirt.

Galaxy’s last away kit was a throwback to their jersey from the 90s and had nothing to do with Ajax.

As a Timbers fan, the plaid jersey looks like someone took the PDX carpet and left it in the washing machine for longer than the team existed.

The team made a huge mistake by ditching the Impact name and logo. There was nothing wrong with it and the rebrand was something no one asked for.
