i have the old version the circuit inside is the same probably and if you wanna buy it forget about measuring amp and temperature because it wasnt working when i bought it also, i think it is common in this device but hey other things work relatively ok if you are a new one in electronic it is ok...
Actually, I kind of like Allsun products. I bought their "Auto Electrical System Diagnosis Device". That's pretty much a poor man's Power Probe. What can I say about it? Well, it works. I saved myself double the price of it the day I got it. It's not nearly as sophisticated as the actual Power Probe, the leads are a little cheap but...it works!!!! I've used it to diagnose problems with trailer lights and radiator fans. One day when I'm flush I may buy a Power Probe with all the goodies, but in the meantime, the Allsun is great. And yeah, I love the box!
Allsun can definitely surprise..they do put out some great test instruments..unfortunately they have a so-so track record in the QA department but this was a decent offering..👍 also they are the OEM for alot of other brands.. !
I don't like the "except A" warning. Prone to someone just grabbing the meter, glancing on the descriptions, seeing big A symbol and plugging it there to measure current.
I have EMOS EM420B for 4 years now, but resistance started being wonky 🤣😂. uF is okayish, diode mode same as yours. It looks exactly the same as yours. So because resistance meeter "died", I got EMOS MD420. Few little changes, probes the same but probes covers has a hole, so probe sticking out, I like 🙂. Still have to test it fully 😁👍. Anyway great video dude 😁👍
Price, performance, features... hard to beat!💫💫💫 Most people have no need for a 150-500$ multimeter ..it just doesn't make sense. Most CHEAP-O multimeters can do everything the big boys can..sometimes alot more..the biggest caveat is input protection. Which is usually lacking on the CHEAP-O MULTIMETERS. That being said, unless you're planning to do measurements on a high powered mains, you don't need the extra robustness.

Would have been a great cheap-o, had it had slightly better functionality. It seems they made too many compromises in that aspect to have good build quality and stay within a cheap-o budget. It’s just difficult to find a use for a meter with slow resistance and continuity modes, inability to test LEDs, low capacitance range, lack of live and NCV mode and lack of true RMS all in the same time.
Zzzzzz..huh..wha!?...sorry, dozed off there! 😅 I get your drift..definitely not the most exciting multimeter out there...but dang, did you see that backlight !!!
@@KeepOnTesting Yeah, the amber backlight is a pleasant surprise but it just can't overcome the meter's faults. Was more impressed by your growing ability to jazz up the intros. Nice work.

Cheers James 👍
Thx James !
You've really upped the production value of your reviews! Another great one.
Thx Eric 👍
Gracias por tus vídeos quiero saber cómo usar la opción clam opcioal
Turn the selector to the clamp mode Plug the optional clamp meter inputs into the positive and negative terminal of the multimeter. That's it !
Thanks Darren, again I didn't get any notification from Utube but looking forward to watching the next one UT120c
No worries 👍Hope you're enjoying the BLITZ 😉
Please, Can you also make chinese clamp meter reviews?
Yes..coming this month!
I think having a current function on the voltage jack is very impractical and maybe unsafe.
Yes, having the current input on a separate circuit is definitely preferred.
It started out so well, it looked like it was going to be a winner, shame about the continuity performance. Thanks for another great review.
I like the red power on button most of this meter... Good to see last year cheap-O champion habotest❤️👍
Funny eh..that red Power button seems so basic but what a nice feature 😉
Looks like Mastech MS8221c ALLSUN build multimeters for LIDL Parkside brand i have PDM300C2 but inside is allsun board EM3801
Definitely! Its a hugely popular OEM... here in Canada, the LIDL equivalent is Canadian Tire / Mastercraft brand, .and AllSun is the OEM as well.

Thx Kemal... 👍A big shout out to all my Turkish friends/viewers! ❤❤❤
Surface mount and SMD.
Spot on..!👍
i like the backlight. too bad it doesn't stay on longer.
Me too..super easy to read!
Great video Darren looks good but poor performance in leds test and slow continuity test
Thanks Wladimir 👍agreed this multimeter just misses the mark !
Big display and blue body good looking multimeter
It does look great..nice size too !

Too bad it looked like a good meter until you hit that LED wall. Nice work 👏🏻👍
Dang that LED Wall anyways..👍
Too bad, so close but again there are more functional $20 meters out there.
That backkight really was nice for a CHEAP-O...wish it was a better performer though!
hFE and separate positions for capacitors is just bizarre. Screen clarity and backlight are about the only thing this one has going for it.
So true.. The uF RANGE really is mystifying...old school perhaps but still 😳 unusual!
hey think you Darren your reviews greetings from you in Egypt
One day they’ll come up with a rainbow color multimeter once all the colors have been used lol 😂😂
Now that would be something ! 😉
I like this blue meter...
Easy on the eyes for sure..
Great design and build quality, wish all CHEAP-O's came with such good quality material as well as many trim pots. All-Sun 🌞 can make it better.
I was drooling over it for the first 4 minutes. I wish more manufacturers were using that rotary lock mechanism for the battery compartments.
Agreed..it's a really nice albeit simple body with great attention to detail.
@@numerical_error So true..that tool-less battery compartment is a great feature!
Also Lets not forget the rotary selector embedded ✨
It is of course a beautiful looking multimeter but not effective ..☹️ Thank you for the review...🙂👍
It's a looker for sure.. the boot is very nicely done too. Hard to show on the video though..
