  • The infighting has already begun as party leadership hopeful Kemi Badenoch called one of Rishi Sunak’s private secretaries a ‘buffoon’ at a shadow cabinet meeting following their electoral disaster. And with Nigel Farage’s Reform party splitting the Tory vote, how will they deal with his threat?

Vulnerable people driven to despair in their 100,000s won’t be getting Murdoch pieces about trying to get things back together, especially not the ones who killed themselves.

They can fight all they want the Tories are done never as a party let a country down so badly and for so long they have been cast out into the wilderness never to return.

I’ve said for a long time now - the tories aren’t really a political party in England , they are the establishment and the class system in power. The English are so class ridden and used to a puerile rightwing media and a corrupt self serving elitist education system that they cant even see it. They will soon enough be back in power.

Is it any wonder, witnessing the post election position of the last 14 years of chaos, that the nation has been reduced to chaos and still they cannot unify! Thank goodness that they've been put to bed , leaving the grown-ups to try and rescue a once great nation!

The delusions of self-importance on display from many of these Tory MPs is pathological.

The remaining Tories need to be removed from Parliament. They are a not fit fit office. Richie Sunak was the only one that came out with any dignity and respect. The others, from the cCabinets, need to crawl away and not come back.

The Conservative Party needs to take time to determine its values and vision for the future. It is not about personalities - they have had enough of that - it should be about positioning.

The last time Tory members chose a leader they voted for Truss.
Their political political opponents must be extatic.

Don't worry Starmer is already spending more time visiting the world government and will soon be ignoring citizens just as often as Sunak. Once he becomes as rich as Sunak we will know that he has been fully vetted by WEF.

I am glad the Tories are gone but if I was a Tory with an eye on the leadership I'd firstly keep my powder dry for now and play the long game, let someone else take on the poisoned chalice that is the leadership for now before making a move down the line when Labour have been in power for some time and a much better impression can be made of their performance in govt.

I suspect it's fanciful for anyone to suggest the country as a whole is prepared to listen with interest to anything that Conservative politicians are saying or that anything they say is going to be taken seriously for the next 2 years!

Still a lot of voters thinking it's a good idea to prolong the agony and vote for them when they could have voted Reform and gotten real conservative policies and leadership.

I wouldn't be shocked if Suella Braverman joined Labour too continue to brow beat her ex compatriots. She fit right in with Starma he's a Tory anyway.
