- From the talented and meticulous filmmakers Lilian Franck and Robert Cibis (www.ovalfilm.de/) comes a film titled "Pianomania", featuring a genius Steinway piano technician, Stefan Knupfer, working and interacting with musicians such as Alfred Brendel, Pierre Laurent-Aimard, Lang Lang, and us! We affectionately call Stefan, "Q", and he has helped us build and invent all kinds of things, among which are the Rachmaninov Chords of Wood.

I've seen this documentary 3 times, both the music and the scenes are so beautifully made. No wonder it had received some awards, especially in editing category. Couldn't wait for its DVD release. Highly highly recommended.
AMAZING!!! I'm not sure which I was more worried about, the piano or the violin! :P
Wow I never thought of looking for the music director / composer for that documentary. Good find thanks.
At 1.30 when Joo is lying down, he plays: Gymnopédie no 1.
i din know there's a such creative man that investing instruments!
4:55 is my favourite rendition of Schneewalzer.
I like it too, and would also love to know what it's called. I think I have it somewhere, but it would take a lot of sifting to find it....
I'm also curious as to what songs were played on the violin
WOW i was scared too

What was the heavy thing he was playing the violin with?
Fun video, i was totally blasted away by the piano-on-violin...
What's the song that Stefan Knupfer, the technician, played near the end? I like it :D
Btw, what song did Joo play when he's upside down? I like it.
What's the song that Hyung Ki Joo plays lying down on the piano? Love that piece
Eric Satie
Excuse me, what is the Steinway man playing at about 5 minutes? It's lovely :)
0:56 are the "hémiones" from carneval des animeaux, right? :)
@pridoviolino do you know the piece he´s playing with his head on the pedals? i´ve heard it many times but haven´t got a clue to what it´s called.
Eric Satie
conclusion: musicians are crazy!! :D

Eric Satie's #1 i think.
Just try typing Satie and No. 1. You should be able to find it -- it's a famous piece. :)
This is GREAT. AHAHAH!
@jacoman1234567 I THOUGHT it was La Pluie Que Lente by Debussy, but then I listened some more. It wasn't.

No, I saw that one, but the thing before. looked like a metal stick or something...

You really need to put a deEsser filter on Stefan. He hurts my ears! The whole thing needs a limiter on the upper end.
hahahaha that was scary XD
LOL
