I agree. I have a few jackets and smocks from different manufacturers. I bought a Ridgeline Pintail explorer jacket and I must say it wasn't noticeably any better in quality than a Game Stealth jacket I have which was much less expensive. I think it pays to shop around and read customer reviews. You don't always have to spend lots of money to get a reasonable and serviceable product.

You have hit the nail square on the head, how many British brand names manufacture there product's in Chine and with Rishi Sunack saying China is the greatest threat why do we out source most of are army kit there (new buffalo suit). A brand name means nothing, thank you for your video xx

Hi I bought a Ridgeline pin tail exsplorer on the Gtec water proofing 2layer Membrane and also the Material don’t make u sound like a crisp packet.
As for Deerhunter jacket there even more pricey on the pocket. But the deer hunters. Stitching aint that good single stitching and bad feed back from people on Reddit saying there crap. So thats why i went for the ridgeline gear.

I've tried both over a long period only problem I've had is I got my hood caught on a branch as I slid down a banking and it ripped about 4 stitches so not to bad I like them both to be fair

Also Bob u cant wash Ridgline jacket with normal day detergent like Bold n Daz it will eat the Membrane and keep it away from heat. Dry n irons. Its all about the Gtec membrane
Ridgeline crease easy and u got wait for crease to fall out. Could take weeks to drop out.

It's the same with Barbour the quality is just not there in some of there jackets.compared to cheaper versions it's wrong how they cut corners with quality or look over the little things that could improve there jackets.All because there a named brand end of the day a £10 primark t-shirt does the same as a 300 gucci t-shirt.
