Kayembe was wanting someone to play with him..in a couple of years those two little girls are gonna give him a run for the money..lol Freddie and Kebi are both great moms..
Thank you Larry. Kayembe is such a sweet mischievous little boy. Freddie's got her hands full with a new baby and toddler, but she seems to be doing a great job as mum. Kayembe so desperately wants to play with his sisters. When Kunda gets stronger, and mum lets her explore more it will be double trouble for all of the parents. The biggest heart I have ever seen. Very attentive and excellent mom. 2 little growing gorillas is not a easy job. It takes a special kind of person to do this.
It is truly a wonderful thing that Jameela can be raised by a gorilla mom in a troop just like it is supposed to be. Thanks to all the zoo personnel for their hard work in helping this to happen. It's really fascinating to watch the youngsters at their somewhat different developmental stages. Kunda is getting ready to stretch that connection between her and her mom and move a little further away and do her own thing. Both human and gorilla moms have to be doubly vigilant at that stage! Kayembe is all toddler all the time! And neither Mama Freddie nor Mama Kebi seem to be afraid of letting him know where the line is, especially with the two younger babies! Poor little guy is finding out that getting to be the big boy isn't always as much fun as you might think. But he'll have those playmates he wants soon enough and then what fun! Thanks, Larry, for showing us folks in Texas how our little girl is doing.
Kayemebe just wants to play with someone. The baby girls are still too little and fragile. Couple more months and you will be able to play with your sisters and what fun you will have. I watch another gorilla family. Two little brothers, they play with each other all day long. So glad that beautiful baby girl seems to be happy with her new mama.😊
It truly is amazing how much gorillas and orangutans are like humans. It is just beautiful and miraculous.❤ beautiful mama and baby. The little toddler will get used to it it is hard to share your mama huh? Lovely little family. Thank you for your videos.
Larry I'm new to your channel and the only complaint I have is ..... The videos aren't long enough 😂. I enjoy your videos of the Gorilla family so much. You catch all the action. I like the fact you don't play annoying music because I can hear the keepers talking in the back ground and other people at the zoo. I've heard some interesting things about the Gorilla's. I like that you're caption is large enough for my old eyes to see and I don't have to speed read them or pause and back up to see what you wrote. Oh and the babies are so darn cute. Thank you! I don't have a zoo near me and I can watch the wonderful animal through your lens.

She was raised by zoo because her mother rejected her, unfortunately they didn’t have a foster mom and she is proof why they do so much better raised by a gorilla. @@kelleybutler9203 oohhh, thanks for backstory. I'm familiar with the Shabani and Momotaro family, but I'm new to this family. Do you know what age she was when introduced to her new family?
Such cute babies!!! But I think Kayembe just wants someone to play with. There's no one else his own age in the troop and he's bored. The babies are too young and the adults are too grown. Hence the rambunctious toddler acts like a rambunctious toddler. Thanks for this great look at how they're all doing!!!

He sure is, as fast as they are the mother's are faster. It was so funny Genki spit water in Gentario's face. That cooled him off and he seemed like he was shooketh 😂😂😂after that. He sat his behind down .That was hilarious.
@@DeborahGadson-d9jI died at that too! Genki has her ways at getting her point across. Gentaro was 6, Keyembe is only 2 or 3? Freddie is so amazing! I’ve never seen a gorilla like her? Well Jazz the orangutan…but she’s related to the babies. These animals are ALL amazing ❤
I haven't watched all the videos about Genki and her boys. I did read that they took Gentaro from her because she wasn't producing enough milk and they were concerned. Then when Kintaro was born, she didn't have enough milk again. But she refused to let them remove him. They had to get creative with supplements for her, more food for her, and supplemental bottles for Kintaro. That could very well be Kebi's mindset since her first was taken away from her.

While nursing my youngest son he would always grab hold of my shirt or nightgown and I'd have to pry it from his grasp when I had to lay him down. My other 2 children never exhibited this behavior and they were both bottle fed. When Larry explained the purpose of the black vest that the staff wear when handling Jameela I was surprised because it took me back to when my son was an infant. He's 40 years old now, and I never understood why he clutched my clothing so tightly while nursing. Watching the gorillas interact with each other is quite entertaining, and now I have an interesting story to share with my family on Mother's day this year. Thank you Larry.
Hi Larry - Thanks for your hard work to let us see into Jameela and Mom Freddies lives. Really enjoying seeing her do so good with new Mom. Thanks for sharing and continued success. Love PegEgg
Poor Tusa. I've only seen Mokolo hit her!! I've never seen him punish the others it's sad. You can see her shaking when he gets up to leave. I realize it's nature and she's the bottom of the troop but it's really sad she's always alone ,except for the occasional visit from Kayembe
Kayembe reminds me so much of our daughter when our son was born. Living in this weird place of what is THAT?! Why is it with MY mom?! IT MUST GO and Awwww, its so little! I will murder anything that THINKS of hurting it!! Because she went from all the attention to less than half for a little bit when we first brought him home. I don't know how long it takes gorillas, but it took our little human primate a while to figure out she didn't have to share our love with him. Our love grew to include him too. Both mamas are doing great protecting their babies from a jealous brother. From what all the other zoo channels show, its normal. He's behaving exactly as expected and when they are big enough to play with, it'll be a different ballgame.
Great video! Kayembe is being a stinker today, so cute! How he is with Kundi reminds me of the gorilla brothers Lope and Shufai when they were young. Jameela looks healthy and happy. Thanks for sharing!🩷

That was a sad situation. We are very happy for her to have been accepted by Freddie and our troop. I will publish updates regularly. Thanks for sharing a comment today. 👋😁
I love how you document the troop up there in Cleveland. I am in Columbus but plan on going to see the troop next time I go to visit my son. I love seeing the babies and of course chuckle everytime Kayembe tries to loot one of his siblings. I do understand the hierarchy in a troop, but I still can't help but feel sorry for Tusa. I worry about her being on the bottom of the pecking order because I have seen what can happen to the more sensitive gorillas. (Genki, before they transferred her to a new zoo to be alone, she had chewed her own finger off from being the lowest female)
Larry when the youngsters and babies use adult gorillas heads for bongo's is that about love taps? They all seem to do it all over the world at different zoos. The use of the eyes by the Apes for comunication would have made interesting material for my senior year thesis. My teacher loves ved the information I had on Apache Indians practicing mental telepathy. My thesis was on communication since I had been a part -time radio DJ for two years. As you can tell I just love the Apes. Jameela has a home. My sister, a Texan, says rhe people she knows in Texas are just thrilled at the progress of Jameela and Freddy.
The head taps I’ve seen seem to have one or two goals. 1) to tease or invite the other gorilla into play, or 2) I’m frustrated and not getting what I want, I.e. attention from you or play. Sometimes they’re light, sometimes hard. Thanks for sharing a bit of your experience. (My BA degree was in Communication (Interpersonal) with minor in Psychology.
That’s what I have hoped for. To hear their low grunts or a babies noises would really be something. Maybe the Primate Forest the zoo has planned may give us that. 🤞

😁
Good job mom Freddie!!!🌿🍀🌱☘️ 🙏🦍🍌🍌🍌❤
👍😁
Thank you for keeping us updated. Such a wonderful troop
Welcome! 😁
Baby gorillas are so precious 😍 💖
👏👏👏😁
Great video! Kayembe is being a stinker today, so cute! How he is with Kundi reminds me of the gorilla brothers Lope and Shufai when they were young. Jameela looks healthy and happy. Thanks for sharing!🩷
Welcome
Reminds me of Gentaro and his antics at the Kyoto zoo❤
👍
Thank you, Larry.☺️❤️

I've seen other videos of Jameela when they introduced her to Freddie, she instantly fell in love with her and was like "yup I'm your new mama"
👍😁
Thank you for filming these amazing gorillas! The video's a good length too - I never got bored. Just wanted to leave a comment because I know it helps your algorithms on your channel. I subbed! ❤

God bestowed upon Freddie the unique gift of extraordinary Maternal instinct.
Yes indeed!
Yes
👏👍
Freddie is completely different from
Genki because she continues to give kayembe attention!
👍😁
Yes poor Gentaro😢, plus these are not even Freddie's bio kids, on top of 2 yr old compared to Gentaro being 6-7 yrs
@@vickiemendiola2943, exactly poor Gentaro and now I can see as proof that Freddie didn’t stop to give Kanye attention.
@stevemorris6790 👍😁
I'm from Fort Worth and it warms my heart to see Jameela doing so well and being taken good care of. It broke my heart when her mother rejected her.
That was a sad situation. We are very happy for her to have been accepted by Freddie and our troop. I will publish updates regularly. Thanks for sharing a comment today. 👋😁
❤ Amazing. Definitely thank you.
👍
I love how you document the troop up there in Cleveland. I am in Columbus but plan on going to see the troop next time I go to visit my son. I love seeing the babies and of course chuckle everytime Kayembe tries to loot one of his siblings. I do understand the hierarchy in a troop, but I still can't help but feel sorry for Tusa. I worry about her being on the bottom of the pecking order because I have seen what can happen to the more sensitive gorillas. (Genki, before they transferred her to a new zoo to be alone, she had chewed her own finger off from being the lowest female)
That is a sad story. I’m glad you enjoy me videos, thank you. 👋😁
What a great loving troop, everyone looks so happy ❤❤❤❤
👍
👏👏👏😁
Kayembe is a wild child 😅😅
🤣
Kayembe such a lil brat 😂. Thanks for capturing baby Jameela. Such cuties❤
👏😁
Kayembe keeps you laughing 😂😂😂
He sure does!
I love Jameel’s ❤😊
👏👏😁
So cute.
Thanks, they are.
I wish they would pipe in sound from the room so that we could hear vocalizations. I’m local and am dying to visit, but it seems pretty crowded.
That’s what I have hoped for. To hear their low grunts or a babies noises would really be something. Maybe the Primate Forest the zoo has planned may give us that. 🤞
👍😁
Little toddler says Mommy. I'm here
👍😁
Thanks!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate the extra support! 👏👏😁
Man muss einfach Geduld lernen
Sweet thank you 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩💖💖💖💖
👍😁
That was awesome ❤
Thanks, glad you liked it
Love it ❤
👍😁
