Sheng Yilun is so talented. He played so many different types of characters in his dramas and brought them all to life. He truly is a great and versatile actor. At 23, he portrayed such a complicated character like Sheng Lun so well. His beautiful and expressive eyes telegraphed so much feeling and thoughts. I know they have to make him up to look older, but he looked great anyway. It was like someone who had seen him live multiple times said, if Michelangelo's David was a 10, Sheng Yilun was at least a 12. He is also so athletic and graceful at the same time. His running scenes here and in God of Lost Fantasy, and the way he wielded the swords, were all so realistic, just like the way he wielded a sword and a whip live in Race the World. I love his acting.
Sheng Yilun has perfectly proportioned figure and features. He has long legs and is also very athletic, which made all his fight moves so realistic. I love how he carried the actresses around like they were feather weights. His expressive eyes telegraphed all Sheng Lun’s emotions and feelings. Love his acting.
In this scene in front of the mistress of jade mountain, it showed so clearly the difference between Sheng Yilun's character, Sheng Lun and the older man, who was older, but not wiser. Sheng lun was refined, respectful, honorable, and behaved like a perfect gentleman; while this other guy was crude, rude, disrespectful and behaved more like a bandit/thief than the leader of a tribe. At this stage of the drama, Sheng Lun cared more about friendship than the love of a woman. Sheng Yilun's beautiful smile is so enchanting.
It would be nice to keep having the English translation through out the series so that the none speaking Chinese would understand. Anyone knows why the translation disappeared after awhile?
