I agree with you but I think we all fail to see the magnificence of the valley. In the wilderness where water is scarce find the valley and usually there is fresh running water. By the water is plush vegetation to eat with animals who also eat and drink there that can be hunted and trapped. In the valley it is easy to find a break from the whipping winds. There is life in the valley.

Wow. Very reassuring to see your comment here. I've been trading 5 yrs now. Years 1-4 have been heavy losers but this year has been breakeven / very slightly up. I am trading with edge but I still have such little respect for my capital so my equity goes up before taking HUGE hits to the downside. I know in my head that minimising/avoiding big losses will turn me consistently profitable but days like today I was unable to take a loss and I took another soul-crushing heavy hit today. It's so incredibly frustrating I know exactly what my problems are (overstaking/no respect for my risk capital) but I cannot seem to overcome these problems. I don't want to adopt a defeatist mindset I know the importance of staying positive so I'll focus more on my vision / dream life and creating good feelings and trust that I will get there eventually. One thing is for sure I will never give up until I make it.

I myself are going thru some tough times with school and work and i try to support my mom with whatever i can, i make only 230$ a week and give 180$ to my mom and im a recovering drug addict and im trying to get a degree and have a career but its so hard sometimes and i have an amazing gf that helps me sometimes but i tell u just the same way i kicked the heroin and meth 4 years ago i thought the pain would last forever but it didnt and thats what i think about all the time and keeps me going that this will not be FOREVER. BETTER DAYS ARE AHEAD AND I HOPE WHOEVER IS STRUGGLING WILL GET THRU IT AND WONT GIVE UP, JUST KEEP GOING N FIGHTING. BEST WISHES

A prayer for honesty
What a relief! I'm learning to be honest no more drinking/druggin or dodging, no more Tall Tales, no more pretending to be what I am not. My cards are on the table for all the world to see. I am what I am. I have an unsavory past. I'm sorry, yes, it cannot be a changed now. All that is yesterday is done. But now my life is an open book come and look at it if you want to. I'm trying to do the best I can. I will fail often but I won't make excuses. I will face things as they are and not run away. I want to be honest. I try to be honest as I can. To say the least I'm in a big transition in my life. I woke up with a bad dream and lots of anger.
I exercised, I ate, I showed compassion for others, I read yet the anger wouldnt go away.
I confronted my anger with someone and then I became exhausted and felt helpless.

Something about knowing the struggle that others embrace and grind though really lights a fire inside of me. I lost my mother and my brother to a genetic disorder 12 years apart. I felt the light go from my life and I let it defeat me because I was not driven to fight through and persevere. Ten years later I am still here grinding and finding myself. Never give up because someone doubts you or tells you you cannot do it. I know what nothing feels like... to be homeless and jobless. Only recently did I realize my life would have meaningful days. Find what stokes the flames of your inner fire and grind your way through every obstacle and every doubt, inner, or external. Impossible only exists in the hearts of those who do not want it badly enough to fight tooth and nail for their dreams.
I watched this video and I broke down because I somehow felt what it feels like to lose someone that's been there for you since day one and from breaking down I feel as though I'm getting up again and coming back stronger. Thank you for this video because I learned something that only I could discover through my self

Man i cant stand life sometimes. I had anxiety disorder 4 times my mom has depression we have financial difficulties (a lot of them) and so many other things. Now i dont have any more years to spare with uni and there is no extra time that i can take . I must finish it in 1.5 years from now and i dont even get to have a second chance at a course. I just had my 25th birthday (today) and its the first time i havent recieved a gift due to financial troubles. Im in such a f up place with no close friends by my side and so much negativity and hardship generally in life. But then i remember that i beat my anxiety 4 times and im much stronger now... then i remember that i overcame the death of one of my best friends when i was only 17, then i remember that i overcame some horrible breakups and that i lost weight and than im not fat anymore , then i remember the promise i made to myself that i still have in my room written with big letters that says "never give up no matter what" and i look back to all these f up times that i had and i made it. Seriously if god exists please give me strength in order to become a dietitian and finish my uni and please give me the opportunity to help people with anxiety disorders !!! I want to make this world a better place and live a more financially comfortable life !

Listen brother , I am in a similar place left by my father living with my mother and little sister with lots of financial difficulties but what of it. Since the age of 15 I started working during the summer to support my family, due to this hardships I started trading financial markets and adversity made me think outside the box which in turn resulted in coming up with ways to make money that I would never have otherwise thought of. Now I am working my ass every day and no matter how difficult and dire it gets I do not stop, why? Because no person in the history of the word who did not give up and put hard work had not succeeded. Keep on pushing brother eventually these hard days would pass and you would come out stronger than you had ever anticipated. Completely honest, I was bawlling my eyes out half way through. It was however very inspiring. I having been aiming high enough. My goal hasn't been well planned out and definately not strived for. It has to change. I am truly inspired to not just make goal or high goals but to do anything and everything and achieve them. Thank you for this video.

Surely this video is amazing. I had different point of view about life, now i rise up and keep moving forward.
Four months after having been in hospital for 2 weeks, argued with my girlfriend... life beat me down and still is. My new boss underpays me and makes me work even harder. I was the student with the highest scores in school and never thought it would be like this :(. My blue jeans only have a few coins, not even enough for a bus trip back home. I walk home sometimes, 10km...I have literally no friends, workmates think I'm a snob, but they don't understand what hides behind my smile is a tired soul with just a drop of hope. Matter of fact I don't even know what's for dinner today, or how I'll go to work tomorrow, but I somehow stay hopeful. I know something will come up and I have convinced myself to look more into myself and find peace from within. I stay hopeful because there's no bad situation that I have not figured out at some point... IF YOU ARE GOING THROUGH ANY HARD SITUATION, HANG ON FRIEND, I know you might be going through worse stuff but we're here and let's keep encouraging each other. Fight from your end and I'll fight from this end till we meet at the top!

Nixon’s Farewell speech resonates with me. I followed my dream; after my husband passed away unexpectedly I continued to persevere. I finally was accepted into law school and attended full time, as a single mother of two - studying on the bleachers before my son’s basketball games and during my daughter’s cheer practice, keeping up with household chores, cooking dinner most evenings, and working part time as a tutor. Today I’m a successful attorney who travels around the world to speak at conferences...but what is most important is that I proved to myself I could do it and have no “I wish I would’ve” thoughts. I also have shown my children, as I am the evidence, that with hard work and resilience, they can accomplish anything despite the obstacles that may arise.
You were able to go on because no one interrupted you, no one abused you, no one insulted you, no one told you you weren't good enough, no one tortured you. Hard work takes you nowhere if you have people contantly taking your freedom, happiness, and hope away from you. You are one of the lucky ones.

I just wanna say thank you for these amazing videos. I finished school earlier this year. For many they go to university I chose not too. It's hard being stuck at home working where my friends and others are going out every time. But what gets me through is I think ahead, I think what's ahead in the future and damm it's good. This is the law of attraction.

About two years ago I was in the darkest place I've ever been in my life. Didn't know what do to with myself, I was drowning in self pity and self loathing. Then when youtube surfing I came across this video, and I decided to download it to my iPod while working out, it became a little ritual every day. And I finally got back to being myself again, the quote that really spoke to me was "Sometimes, you've gotta cut a little piece of yourself off, no matter how much it hurts. In order to grow. I order to move on." It's a very simplistic idea, but it's also exactly what I need to do to climb out of the pit I dug myself into. Every so often I listen to this while I'm driving, on a train or just have some spare time to remind myself where I was and where I am now.

I felt restless and anxious just one hour ago but I told myself that this could be a opportunity to learn to manage my emotions.
