Known for its brutal conditions and human rights abuses, it housed the nation’s most notorious criminals, with murders common within its walls. Today, the abandoned prison is part of a national park, and the jungle is reclaiming its ruins. While the island’s natural dangers-poisonous snakes, caimans, and shark-infested waters-made escape nearly impossible, it also teems with incredible wildlife, including capuchin monkeys, venomous snakes, and giant boas, offering a glimpse into the unique life that thrived on this notorious “snake prison island.

One thing for certain if you enjoy nature, wildlife and jungle experts have also substantiated this, the most dangerous living thing in the jungle are the insects. And there are several. Ants are at the top, centipedes, millipedes, caterpillars, mosquitos, wasps, bees, hornets; of all types, then there's spiders. Lmao. Absolute terror.
