I want you to know I truly appreciate your passion for the outdoors! It's not often I hear guys on TH-cam or in person talk about how beautiful the world is and to get out there more. Big ups to you Ethan. Also, WHAT A FISH IM SO HAPPY FOR YOU.
THANK YOU BRADLEY! This seriously makes my day! And yeah dude I freaked out, that fish was so fun! Still gotta get on your level though haha you got that big ol' piggy that is on another level :D
Love Joe’s Flies. Just received another order of fifteen 1/4 oz. Super Striker in Royal Coachmam color. They are priced fair and they straight out Catch Fish. When you buy, always determine how many you want, and then Double The Order. Outstanding, In The Woods Video. So cool that you saw and appreciated all of the Beauty around you. Congrats on your PB. When I was around your age I discovered the 1/8 oz. Joe’s Flies when fishing a pond on the McDonald’s Corporate Campus In Oak Brook, Illinois. Caught a ton of fish and then stopped as I wanted to get more of these Magic Lures. Pre-internet, I could not find the lure for years! Finally found them! Keep up your Sharing. Be well.
Thank you for the tips and the awesome story! Yeah I stumbled upon this multipack in Cabelas and had to buy it. Solid price compared to most spinners! I appreciate you watching - tight lines my friend!
"No one makes me bleed my own blood". I have a couple of these Joes Flies that I haven't used yet but I have noticed how light they are and that you might need a split shot to get some decent casting distance. Might try them on my fly rod too. It's turkey mating season! He was looking for a hot hen. Awesome job on the PB! He was a beauty Ethan!
Thanks Fitzy! Yeah the Joe's Flies are light but I actually wonder if that is why the fish liked the presentation so much? I missed too many dang fish but I blame myself. And I am just glad that Tom didn't think I was a Hen. This video may have got a bit more interesting :O
Love Joe's Flies! Love that you can swap out the hook/fly. Love that Colorado blade, spins consistently. Love the light weight. Add or remove weights as needed. Super versatile.
Great video, and what a pig you caught! The ones that surprise you like that are the absolute best, and it is so rewarding to land them with ultralight tackle (although I admit that I am always scared s***less that I'm going to lose the fishing during the fight!). Thanks very much for sharing and fish on!! 😀
Thank you! This was one of the top highlights of my year for sure. I definitely need to get back out there as the waters cool down and chase these fish again. Gotta love catching them on light line!
I have 15 Joe's Flies sitting here on my desk. They make the Short Striker in 1/8 and 1/4 ounce. I am getting ready to head to Wyoming the 1st of September. I'll be trying your Mule jigs to see if they work on big North Platte browns at the Miracle Mile.
Eeeee-Haw! That was great. Nice trout. Sorry, I can't get behind making turkeys wear pants. Diapers on Canada geese, though, that would be good. The scariest bird in the forest, by far, is the ruffed grouse (partridge to you Ontarians). When you're almost on top of them, they blast out of the bushes with a noise like an over-amplified drum solo. Yikes. Great video, Ethan. Keep 'em coming.
Great video. Joe's flys are awesome. Try the black Joe's fly with the gold spinner I always catch fish on it. Even if they are not biting I will throw it and usually have success when nothing else is working. Again enjoyed the video. THANKS JEREMY, NC
Sheeeeew! Going to order some of joes flies right now, what a fish. Just found your channel watching videos to get hyped for my backpacking/fishing trip up in the high sierras and love the content!
Great video! Congrats on the new pb! I get a little jumpy sometimes too in the woods hahaha. Especially when I hear leaves rustle near my feet. Immediately I think 🐍... but its usually just my own feet lol.
Haha seriously though the critters are always spooking me! I love them all but they gotta quit that before I have a heart attack! Thanks for watching :D
the coolest thing about Joe's Flies is that they're like the beetle-spin bastard love-child of spin/fly fishing and you can use whatever fly you have on hand and want to use; white millers, black marches, grey ghosts, mickey finns, salmon bombs, muddler minnows, all sorts of buggers and leeches, hellgrammites, zug-bugs, irresistables, steelie stoppers, burnt eggs, peanuts, russian river streamers, bucktail caddises, speys, even alaskabous and flash flies... . . . I love goin' multi-species junk-fly spin-fly fishing in the late spring & early fall.
I think a split shot won't hurt! If you have light gear, I would try it first without because I found it looked pretty darn good without weight. Very natural! If it is too hard to cast, simply clamp a small weight 8-10" in front of the spinner and you will be golden.
I do the same thing while fishing lol, casually zoning out looking at the nature, landscape, and wildlife around me.. BUT that seems like the time that I get the most bites, when I’m not paying attention🤣🤣
Nice brownie! That was a solid fish. I own 2 of the joes flies maybe I should use them next time out. Something about trout fishing around here seems to attract scary moments with Deer and/or Turkeys haha.
Hmmm I am not sure to be honest. I think size #8 is what Cabelas has so that must be it. They felt like they were probably 1/32oz or so. Very light! Sorry I didn't pay enough attention to detail!
That’s awesome - I’m glad you and your son both watch together! Give him a Team Dink first bump for me. Hope you and your family are staying safe thru these strange and scary times 💚
This trout taught me that! And yeah, thank you and multiple others for the suggestion! It was a long time coming but I finally got them and I am glad I did!
Lol I've been there before with birds scaring me while out. You're gonna need a team donk if you start slaying big browns 💪👊 on another note dude your videos brightened my day after surgery last October and I'm very thankful. So to show some gratitude I made a order of mule jigs nothing it this world but I'd figure I'd give them a try. I struggle with discipling myself to small baits and smaller fish but it's almost time to start catching bluegill and I think they'll be awesome!
Saw the order Vincent! THANK YOU so much for your support! Trust me, those 1/32oz jigs will smoke the bass as well. Try a little Slim SwimZ or other small swimbaits and you will have a heck of a time. Also, I went to RCHS and played Rossville in sports every year growing up :D And yeah this Trout was a fatty! Super stoked I found him :D The Turkeys... Not so much!
You should check out Leland Lures trout slayer rod. It is amazing and sensitive. It can cast a 1/64 lure at least 45 feet. It is not whippy flippy like a lot of ultralight rods.
Love the content. Try setting a different direction than what you think they are facing. Think you may be pulling it straight instead of in the cheek. Keep it coming!
Just checked him out - he has some pretty sweet art / gear! Maybe I do need that... I wonder if he can make me some Brown underwear. Not Brown Trout, just Brown. Will make life more simple.
I haven't trout fished as much in the past couple years but I still think they make a fantastic product. Any small spinner, jerkbait, or small plastic under a float are my top options.
Why not switch the handle on your reel to the left side so you don't have to keep changing your rod from hand to hand after every cast. You're killing the action on the lure every time you do that.
Thanks for the feedback! I have always casted and reeled with my right hand but I am actually in the process of learning how to reel lefty. Definitely a weird feeling but I agree it will help :)

7k subs here you come!! My kids and I love the content. The positive energy is so great!
Thank you John, glad you and the boys are enjoying it! And yeah, Team Dink continues to grow. Very thankful!

Thanks Brayden! Glad you got one too - I love the feeling of hooking into a gorgeous trout!
Online Outdoorsman i am hooked now i want to catch more so i gonna try more often now
Just watched video for 1st time. I absolutely love
Thanks Don! I need to pick up some of their heavier models for sure!

I love Joe's Flies! All 3 of my trout videos I'm using those but in a 1/4oz black/gold color. My favorite!
I definitely need to fish these more. Great little spinner!
Congratulations on the PB!! Beautiful fish! That stream looks beautiful!! Awesome video! BABAAM!!
Thanks bud!
Trout are addictive, I once quit my job and went to work for state parks and recreation just to fly fish daily.
This comment wins haha RESPECT!
Love Joe's Flies! Love that you can swap out the hook/fly. Love that Colorado blade, spins consistently. Love the light weight. Add or remove weights as needed. Super versatile.
Definitely! I’m super impressed with these spinners 🤠

Thank you Adam I am glad you are enjoying the videos! And I am soooo jealous that sounds like one hell of a trip! Best of luck and enjoy :)
Love the Joe's Fly stuff. Caught a beautiful Brown trolling in the kayak last week.
That is awesome! I don't have many places to fish for trout in my kayak - definitely jealous!
nice set up i love joes flies lures i also have a fenwick eagle ultralight with a kastking valiant eagle reel (bald eagle edition)
Very nice! Sounds like a dope setup!
Great job on the new BP brown trout!
Thanks Michael! I am stoked!!
Great outing Ethan! The way your rod absorbed that meatball!
Wasn't that so fun to watch? I watched the clip multiple times because the rod just doubled down and it was epic! Thanks David!
Great vid, great fish. You know how to bring em in.
THANK YOU! And I know how to bring one or two fish in then I usually botch like 10 hooksets lol I am still getting the feel for these dang trout.
Great video! Congrats on the new pb! I get a little jumpy sometimes too in the woods hahaha. Especially when I hear leaves rustle near my feet. Immediately I think 🐍... but its usually just my own feet lol.

Nice Fish. Tell Joe that I ordered a couple of his flies and used your link!
THANK YOU TIM! If I ever meet Joe, I will tell him haha. I will have to buy more as well. New confidence bait :D

That is actually such a good point! I should toss a woolly bugger on one of these next time. I bet I can tempt a big brownie
@@FishAnything oh I also throw all the crazy things too like pink bunnies for everything from rock bass to river pike!
Well you were right about the Joes Flies I need to get them out now. Do you think I need to add some split shot?
I think a split shot won't hurt! If you have light gear, I would try it first without because I found it looked pretty darn good without weight. Very natural! If it is too hard to cast, simply clamp a small weight 8-10" in front of the spinner and you will be golden.
I have had the luck with Joe’s Fly lures. Brown and black flies are killers for me. Walleye love them too.
They are really nice products!
I just ordered that pack and I am now glad for my purchase.
Woot woot! Hope you crush some big ones on it!
I do the same thing while fishing lol, casually zoning out looking at the nature, landscape, and wildlife around me.. BUT that seems like the time that I get the most bites, when I’m not paying attention🤣🤣
Ah well at least we both enjoy our surroundings! Just fun getting out and being around it all :D
Duuudeee! That was a GIANT!
Thanks IFC! It was super fun and I am very thankful I caught him!
Nice brownie! That was a solid fish. I own 2 of the joes flies maybe I should use them next time out. Something about trout fishing around here seems to attract scary moments with Deer and/or Turkeys haha.
Oh yeah these dang critters always jumping out and spooking me. Ducks take off out of nowhere and freak me out every trip!
I remember my double PB day on 2 brookies this year. With a donk rainbow as well. Epic day!
Oh wow that sounds like a dang blast! I need Brook Trout in my life
Enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing your information. You’ve given me some good ideas to fish SW MICHIGAN.
Lots of good water in SW Michigan :D Tight lines David!
Still my favorite fishing content on TH-cam. How much do you love the Pflueger/Fenwick combo? I use the same combo.
Dude it is a solid rod/reel combo! Every time I fish it, I fall a bit more in love. And thank you so much Bradley that truly means the world to me.
Just bought one of these Joe Flies, can't wait to use it
Hope you smack your PB like I did 🤠
@@FishAnything thanks me too
What size are the flies you are using? I am looking on their website now to order some?
Hmmm I am not sure to be honest. I think size #8 is what Cabelas has so that must be it. They felt like they were probably 1/32oz or so. Very light!
Sorry I didn't pay enough attention to detail!
@@FishAnything I really enjoy your videos my 7 year old boy loves them too! You keep us busy during this tough time. Thank you

@@FishAnything thank you I sure will give him the fist bump for you lol and I hope you and your family are safe and healthy as well
They really work!
Heck yeah! I will be using these puppies more in the future. Big fan!
When you start using Joe's flies and land your PB! #Winning I'm a huge huge supporter of Joe's flies they are without a doubt my go to spinners
Heck yeah they’re nice!!
Atta boy! Love those big browns!
Dude this fish was amazing. I was so happy!!
Nice PB!!!!! Great video!!!!
Thank you!!
Joe’s flies are legit.
This trout taught me that! And yeah, thank you and multiple others for the suggestion! It was a long time coming but I finally got them and I am glad I did!
Absolute meatball!! 😆😆😆
:) glad you enjoyed that haha
SAME 6 PACK BUT IN SUPER STRIKER 👌
THEIR A 1/4 OZ AND ALOT EASIER TO KEEP IT IN THE DIFFERENT ZONE 👌
GOOD FISH MAN #JOESFLIES
I will definitely keep trying more Joes Flies. Super nice!

I appreciate it JV! It was a blast, even though I only managed to land the one!
Joes flies work for everything I caught my PB large mouth on one in a small pond 3.5 pounds
Seriously?! That is epic Siloe! I will definitely keep these in mind for other species moving forward!
You should check out Leland Lures trout slayer rod. It is amazing and sensitive. It can cast a 1/64 lure at least 45 feet. It is not whippy flippy like a lot of ultralight rods.
You are going to make me spend more money again haha thanks for letting me know!
Haha revenge on video makers 🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂 bro you are awesome
Hey thank you! :D
absolute MEATBALL 😂😂
Lol I had fun with that fish.
Love the content. Try setting a different direction than what you think they are facing. Think you may be pulling it straight instead of in the cheek. Keep it coming!
Good idea - thank you Blake!
You should do a ultralight tackle bag what’s in side sorta video
Good idea! I did that at first when I got it but things have changed immensely! Might just have to look into this soon. Thank you Evan!
Nice!
Thank you!
Beautiful fish dude! You need a brown trout hat from Nate Karnes after that fish! Also, a clean pair of underwear.
Just checked him out - he has some pretty sweet art / gear! Maybe I do need that... I wonder if he can make me some Brown underwear. Not Brown Trout, just Brown. Will make life more simple.
@@FishAnything Yeah, I hear ya. Helps everything to blend in 👌....been there.
Those joes flies are super light but they have a good action
Yeah they do! Very surprised with these little things. Definitely a new confidence bait for me!
Spinner bro...👍👍
Spinners are clutch :D
Meathead donk!!!!🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣Congratulations!!!!!!
Thanks JP!!
I use joe flies in WV and catch monster
Awesome! They are neat little spinners :)
Think about changing which side your reel the handle is on.... You might fish bit faster...
in the living room with the surround sound that chirp the wood pecker kept making confused me😂😂
never mind that wood pecker wasn’t making noise let me figure out what that is😂😂😂😂😂
Lol whaaaaaat?
I have several Joe's Flys, but I have never had even a bite on one.
Keep after it - the day will come!
@@FishAnything yup, Yesterday I caught 4 on the weighted silver with black fly.
Are you right or left handed?
Right handed for most things. I like to reel RH and hold the rod with my left though. Just what I am comfortable with :)
So it's been 2 years man since you made this video. Is Joe's flies still your favorite trout lures?
I haven't trout fished as much in the past couple years but I still think they make a fantastic product. Any small spinner, jerkbait, or small plastic under a float are my top options.
Right at the end of the video, they shoot the turkey! Lol
Dude how funny would it be if it was that damn turkey that spooked me :D
Online Outdoorsman lmao yes bro that was my first thought haha. Damn turkey got what he got ☠️🤣
Wow, that'll fuel the fire for another year on its own!
Ayyyyy TONY! Yeah it will, I was freaking stoked. Went in shock mode there for a few minutes haha
Can I buy this baits at Walmart
I have never seen them there! I would recommend online shopping for these!
Hello my friend of Okidoki thank you so much@@FishAnything
The woodpeckers are in cahoots with the trout to stop you!
Apparently so! Lol
Try a joes fly Royal coachman it’s the best
1/4 oz is the best.
Definitely would be a good option for a bit deeper pools.
WHY WHY WHYYYYY DID THEY DELAY TROUT SEASON IN PA
Now I feel super sad for you Jake :( sorry to hear that
Online Outdoorsman it sucks so bad
Online Outdoorsman 12 more days
Meatball!
:) I had fun with that fish
Good set up get a SHIMANO thou
Shimano reels are clutch! But Pflueger does the job pretty well too!
my cousin actually works at joes flies
That is cool! You should send him this video and tell him thanks for making a great product :)
My crap WiFi started buffering as soon as he hooked onto his first fish.... yay me
Edit: he was an absolute meatball
Hahaha second edit: I only caught one fish 🤣
Now your talkin.
Heck yeah! Beautiful fish eh?
Joe's flies MURDER trout. All my pbs on them
They are definitely a special little spinner!
@@FishAnything sometimes I make spinners for my fishing channel. Can I send you some?
Poopie!!!! pants!!!!!!!
You reel way to fast while using joes flies. They are all I use and you need to reel half that speed and with a couple split shot
Thanks for the feedback! Glad I still managed to catch a donkey :)
@@FishAnything forsure man. I never catch browns, keep it up!
