- In this video, we will take a journey through two of the most iconic artistic styles in history: the classical and the baroque, providing a summary of the history of art.
Both styles are present in painting, literature, and architecture, and they are integral to the philosophy of art and design.
What characteristics can we distinguish between these two styles? What is their influence on contemporary culture? What makes a work of art considered classical? Why is baroque associated with excess and emotionality? I will answer these questions for you.

The historical roots of these movements date back from classical Greece to 17th century Europe.
Greek classicism, associated with logic and geometry, leads us to appreciate the simplicity of perfect shapes like the circle and the triangle: symbols of harmony and power in ancient cultures. This style has been used to impose a sense of order and stability, both in the history of art and in design, highlighting Nordic design with its focus on functionality and sustainability.
On the other hand, baroque is presented as a reaction to classical order, embracing irregularity and excess. This artistic style seeks to capture human emotion and invites us to enjoy imperfection. Baroque has influenced art, architecture, and even Mediterranean design, characterized by bold and sensual aesthetic proposals.
These styles not only shaped art theory but also influenced how we view the world today. From the rigidity of Central European rationalism to the fluidity and drama of baroque, both styles offer us different "ways of seeing art."

El wildermann es un personaje del folclore de muchos países. En cada lugar lo llaman de manera diferente y en las festividades de cada pueblo, la gente se disfraza de este concepto. Hay un fotógrafo llamado Charles Fréger que se ha recorrido Europa fotografiando al wildermann de diferentes localidades, por si te interesa echar un vistazo.

Coincido con el fascista en que las etapas clasicas y barrocas van apareciendo intercaladas. Por ejemplo en la moda al vestir se ve muy bien como después de lo recargado de los 80 necesitamos lo sencillo de los 90.
