Beard i tested the beta and once you help the hermit enough she will start to introduce herself her name is pearl. She will dance all the time. She will even treat you like her grandchildren ,,let me pinch your cheeks" ,,are you eating well?". Pearl is an interesting character and i cant wait for the full update

@@TheBeard777 Yes, the amazing events Forge & Gorge didn't make as much money as they had hoped (the money they gained from the events only barely compensated for the servers required to run the games), so they kinda abandoned the project, but that doesn't mean we can't see Mumsy & Billy as NPCs! Unless we're they're going to make the Vorge or something (and we have to host the events ourselves), I would REALLY like to see them really soon! Maybe they could be on a separate island just like... that Granny Crab (dunno what's her name) & they could sell Victorian weapons or something! I just want to see they're ok!

The story you can put together for the hermit is a sad one, and giving her the cracked pearl of her loved one gets her down with her thanking you one last time. (Also theres a level two tackle box which may be related to this)
Considering that the pearl is still bugged I didn't bother to show much cause well, it's bugged so not accessible to being with! :D We'll see how things transpire though!
So get this, I was figuring this update out with a friend, and we just happened upon the Crab king by luck, since we were just trying to learn content on our own, we didn't know you could use multiple of the same gem, so we ended up putting EVERY single type of Gem inside his helmet, we were killed pretty quickly.

I REALLY hope that new altar gives us crafts for the Iridescent Gem, I mean the first use for the Gem is now to activate a boss which drops a lunar-crafts station, surely this is the time?
The best thing about this update is that you can change your skins. Praise the clean sweeper! The rest feels not worth it for me right now, but I heard that people found apperantly some moon glasses armor.
With this Crab King's gems I feel like I'm listening to the explanations from the Papyrus from Undertale explaining that game with tiles of different colors, lmao

Oh it's called she sells sea shells because she sells shells from the sea shore, and you can grab the shells with the pinch winch of the sea shore on to the floor so she sells sea shells sells sea shells on the sea floor exiting the door selling more.

The sunken chests have several sets, like the one in the video with a firestaff, charcoal, ash and a coat hanger. I once got the ultimate ds armor set: A log suit, a football helmet and a spear. There may be more but idk. Also the best strategy (one that works) is to drive around the crab king in a boat. One normal mast suffices to dodge his attacks and you can prevent him from healing by attacking him while he is repairing his castle. If you place new boats when he destroys one, you will eventually run out of space because the boards dropped by old boats block boat placement. All in all this boss is supposed to be fought in a group with someone driving the boat while others attack him. Also the claws have 500 Hp, just to say.
@@o-poppoo5117 Yeah, you can just slap 9 Green gems on him, wait until it rains and oneshot the claws he spawns with spicy volt goat jelly Wolfgang blow darts. Only problem is that green gems are the most rare of them all since they are quickly used for thulecite duplication, so you will have to resist the urge and save 9 of them up.
Just an idea what if the hermit crab had other things it could trade as well. Like it sells all the items it has already in this video in addition to those every day it randomly changes its items and the more you upgrade the house the more items the hermit sells and increases the chances for rarer items to appear and if you help out with choirs what if you can get a high chance for more items and even get a random gift along the lines of what you get in the sunken chest. Just a thought
I think my biggest gripe with don't starve is that all the content that keeps getting added is super late game stuff, I really hoped they would give us some interesting new things to do on the early game as well, Like some high risk high reward stuff maybe, Like some optional bosses that could give us something like an unique food source, Idk just anything to spice up early to mid game.
The game's meta has stayed the same for years, and while i agree some early/mid content would be great, veteran players have been waiting for new stuff to do for years, i'm glad they are finally getting something new
Hey beard, before the return of them updates, you couldn’t do much with the ocean. So I think the “them” the game talks about, is the creatures of the un-tropical sea.
No the "Them" have been around in DOn't Starve Lore for years. They are the "so far" unseen shadow monsters that are responsible for the constant and have apparently existed there for ages. Don't Starve/Together has a bunch of hidden lore that is super hard to get into.
Now when all of these coming to the actual game? We need these New contents now more than ever to pass the time.(I know I can try beta but I want all of these to my actual world)
As much as I am slightly disappointed at the update, I’m gonna stay optimistic and hope that Klei has some cool stuff planned after She Sells Sea Shells drops for everyone. Maybe another puzzle like the William Carter or Metheus puzzles? I dunno. I know Klei isn’t a perfect dev by any means, but they gotta have some good stuff down the pipeline.

I do give them a *bit* of credit, because in my opinion the seafaring has always been a bit lacking compared to Shipwrecked. Is it something that I’ll personally use? Probably not in all honesty but I recognize that Klei want to at least try to improve a section of the game that no one really touches.
The "Together" argument is completely absolute and such a cop out answer. Plenty people play solo, plenty suggest that there should be accessible options for said individuals and all they need to make it happen is simply make boats actually boats and not a literal, floating circle.

You can use the Tackle Box to store twigs, berrys, seeds and rot if you don’t want to store lures

Corn, pumpkins, and bluecaps are mostly the only things to consider eating raw IIRC.

Agreed, the solo methods are less inviting and accessible due to losing space quickly. Teams make this super manageable but will prove tough still!
