Started with loving XD but at this point they're too far behind. The UI feels less responsive and fast than Figma in every way and exporting SVG's with figma gives you a file which is 20x cleaner than XD
I think it won't let you go from animation to next dartboard with a TIME base because it's an overlay and not transitioning to another artboard as a dissolve or auto-animate
Great tutorial. But one question: do you ever do page layouts as full pages, so that they behave like a webpage or do you always do it in the viewport?
@@Gokulbalram Workspace background, yeah. You cannot change it from that light gray color -- which makes designing difficult when your layout has a similar toned background.
Hi, thanks for this great video tutorial, I learned a lot by watching your videos. I have one question regarding lottie and video file in xd combination. I fail to run both lottie and video in desktop preview at the same time as video is set to play automatically. What I'm trying to do is simulate the video player along with the commands, more precisely the progress bar makes it harder for me the most.I would be very grateful if you would make a video on that topic, or give some explanation in the comment. Thank you

@@DesignCourse - individual borders - Infinite canvas - Basic text alignment tools, like if I draw a box with the text tool I should be able to position the text within that box vertically and horizontally... Like Figma and Sketch - Variants I was recently forced to switch from Sketch/Figma to XD at my job and I hate it. It's so clunky it actually makes me slower.

XD is so much better. The only thing it needs the ability to colab just like on Figma.

Why hasn't Adobe bothered to add something basic like saving a gradient to your palette? Recreating gradients over and over is a time suck.

In terms of speed of the UI, I've always felt XD is faster being a native desktop app.
how is it lower? Figma takes 5s to show prototype, XD needs 0

I'm assuming he means the workspace background rather than the artboard. Not sure if you can change that

I updated my Adobe XD but I still can't just grab the video and put it on artboard like that.
Make sure it's of proper format like mp4 and less than 15 mb.
Still no dark mode

Nope, you can't. You can use gifs for video and lottie, but that obviously isn't as ideal compared to the real thing.
