Considering the limited road access to the area, I have to wonder how the organizers of the event will react if all of the locals have their own vehicles in front of their own properties and thus making it hard for the tour buses to find suitable parking spaces?
I wonder how things will go at the event if all of the nearest neighbours play their own styles of music and the same sound levels as the shows put on? I also wonder how the city council can legally stop the local general public members from accessing the beach during this time.
The Govt needs to promote the drug dealers by certifying that the drugs sold at the festival are safe. Perhaps the pills should be red? And, the shark nets must be removed during the festival.
These events are infamous for destroying the area, both venue and surrounding areas. These people have no respect for the law, property, and locals. This company promoting the events have never repaired or paid for the repair of the destruction and litter left behind.
I just couldn't believe: SandTunes Music Festival will hit Coolangatta Beach on Saturday 30 November and Sunday 1 December, 2019 with organisers on track to deliver a music festival that will showcase the beauty of the iconic Coolangatta Beach to the world and deliver significant economic benefit to the Southern Gold Coast. There will be no benefit and who can afford the tickets starting from $209 to $1010? I asked the organisers: are drugs allowed at the festival? Reply: The Festival has a zero tolerance policy for drugs and any illegal activities.
Drugs, booze, the ocean what could go wrong. A fence complete with hand and foot holds, like that won't get climbed. Then of course it will make it harder for emergency services to get there to help anyone. Who knows, if the body count is high enough they might decide it's a bad idea and can it.
Aside from the subject matter, I found it interesting that this woman only addressed Peta by name and seemed more interested in what Peta had to say than Alan Jones. Feminists only wanting to speak to another feminist, seems to be the order of the day here.
Anyone ever see the movie "V for Vendetta"? This "news" guy reminds me of the BT news anchor in that movie, he sounds the same and only spreads hate and doom.
Every place needs a drug district. While in said district you are allowed to do whatever drugs you want. If you wish to leave the district you need only to test clean to re-enter society. If you die in the drug district, we will not offer you funeral services. You will be thrown in an incinerator and forgotten. Anybody caught doing or handling drugs outside the district would be executed on national television. If these people want to die, allow them their freedom of will. Just do not allow them the freedom to terrorize those of us who want to live.
You can criticize the rampant drug use at the festivals and the environmental impact they can have but you seem to be a little out of touch. Not all festivals are terrible. They can be a good time. Your age is shown by your words not just the way you look.
Yet the Traditional Family Friendly Banana Festival couldn't afford to comply with Council Security conditions and was forced to cancel.
The music must be crook if you need drugs to get through the concert!! Jimmy.
Drug dealers winning

It's on the GC there will be drugs. It's the beach capital of narcissism.
@Tyler More yeah it is. GC is the fake capital of Australia.
Now add a cyclone in the Coral Sea huge seas and wet weather for those dates oh and minor flooding.
Ha Ha ! hope they get a cyclone in the mix!
Legalise it. When will people get it. Parents will never be able to protect their children from this.

you just sound like a jelly povo
I would hope the organizers of the event are being changed a fortune for the extra emergency services to be provided to cover the event.
Symptom of the environment. I'd be trying to kill myself with euphoria as well if I were still a cow in the factory farm with no future.
Open game for drug pushers
He had me at music festival and drugs. Now I want to find one.
