Do you like anime arena fighters? Are you looking forward to this game?
I’ve only played 1 arena game so I’m not really tired like other ppl of arena games I’m excited
If they're good like DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 3 of course, they have the perfect template for this kind of shonen battle series. The problem is we get subpar to bad arena fighters all the time that's why people are so negative on them.
I hope Rebirth of Souls is more like Tenkaichi 3/Sparking Zero because we need more good arena fighters that can actually be competitive and make these games have longevity through competitive play and major tournaments.
@@AndréVilaFrancadude tenkaichi has never had a big competitive scene. There are other arena fighters like demon slayer that had an actually cool tournament scene. Sadly that one is dead now but it survived for a good while and will go even crazier when the sequel drops.
I hope rebirth of souls is gonna have a similar scene and similar combat.
Bandai just released new bleach Console ost! GIVE IT A LISTEN!
@sungrandstudios do you know anything about how level up systems are made and how defense stats nerfing attacks and such for video games?
12:27 What keeps the sleeve open is he's getting reiatsu powered up by Zangetsu during Ichigo vs Kenpachi. Reiatsu can also physically affect clothes and how they react. You can see in that scene that reiatsu is going up because he received reiatsu from Zangetsu, so it makes he's clothes go up slightly.
Good observation! Maybe they could have the sleeves billowing instead of just being stationary. I kind of love obsessing over Bleach details.
@@sungrandstudios not really an observation, I just remembered that in anime it was the same.
Thanks for the video, I love that you love Bleach, and that makes your analysis even better!
As Bleach fans, we have been waiting a long time for anything at all. Now we're finally getting Bleach stuff again. The wait was worth it!
Your vocals are so crisp and HD 😎 thanks for the video!
Thanks for enjoying the video. People commented that they wanted better audio so I'm using a lapel mic now.
Amazing video thank you for it
I'll make follow ups as we get more trailers. Thanks for watching. I'm always glad to hear from fellow Bleach fans.
Thank you for your insight, i did not realize how minor details tell alot about the devs and how much they care.
15:00 I agree that another arena fighter doesn't feel that unique when those games are usually left to pick dust after the first playthrough. The genre i wished for was musou/warriors but i still think arena fighter is the best second choice for this franchise.
An Adventure/RPG game would be fantastic, but it might struggle with having a large cast of playable characters. If the developers can't make a decent number of characters from this series playable, it could limit the game's success. Bleach is built on a rich and diverse cast of characters from different factions, and capturing that aspect may be crucial to boost the game's appeal. Since u are a game dev, i would like to hear your opinion on my take !
With that said, before all that, we still need to cross our fingers for this game to be a good game not fall on the arena fighter curse
I agree with you that a Musou/Warriors game would be basically perfect for Bleach. You could have a massive cast of playable characters, and the potential fodder enemies would keep things interesting. Bleach already thrives on the spectacle of the characters' battle abilities, which is what Warriors games are all about. It all seems so obvious on hindsight. Let's petition to get a Bleach Warriors game made.
There are two types of people here: Those who wants arena fighter and those who don't want it. I hate wasting time to grind on video games. It's a waste of my air. I am getting old. I've been wanting a Bleach arena like Naruto Storm 4, and finally got it along with those who wanted it as well. Bleach needs an arena fighter too. It's a nice game to compete with friends after beating the story. They should add a ranking system too to make it more fun. Game will be a waste if its just for story mode.
You and I are in the same boat. We've gone so long without any Bleach media, and now we're getting anime, manga, and games. You won't see any complaints from this ol' boy! I'm happy we are getting ANYTHING Bleach.
3:54 ahhh yes the cinnamontogrophy I too love making visuals of cinnamon 😂😂
It's the tastiest way to create visuals, but that's just some people's opinion.
Most likely, 1:31 in the trailer was a special attack, which would make sense why it was emitting light. It looks like ichigo is firing getusgas with each slash but it's a flurry strike, not a long range getsuga. I plan in doing my own breakdown soon, as just a dude who enjoys bleach
Ah, that makes sense. Thanks for adding that. I'll look for your video when it goes live. I am also an enjoyed of Bleach.
The E key lets you frame advance frame by frame in VLC. You just can't rewind frame by frame.
Thank you! I checked the menu in VLC and could find the hotkey. Much appreciated.
The new gameplay breakdown definitely gives you more meat to work with than this one.
@@tnuhenaj3752 I'll have to check it out, thank you!
Great video. Hope you make a follow up video as more news and footage drops in the coming months.
Any chance that the Hair & Fabric animation will look less stiff much further into development?
The hair in particular looks a little stiff to me.
I will certainly do that, thanks. There is definitely a chance hair and clothes can be polished and have them less stiff. That sort of thing is fine for it to come later in development since no other game aspects rely on it. I'm hoping they do make the clothes more fluid because there are certain parts of the trailer that look too rigid and don't flow properly.
I think the cinematic feel it has is because they are working together with Pierrot studio, so they are trying to match the visuals of the anime
That makes a ton of sense now! Thanks for sharing that. I didn't know. Pierrot is capable of absolutely stunning visuals.
Watch the dev diary, it will answer some questions and concerns
Oh great, thanks for that. I will look it up. I enjoy those kinds of things.

Guys just to get this out of te way, tamsoft did not develop melty blood type lumina.
Four people from tamsoft help with the pc port no help with the overall gameplay design n mechanics.
However they have work on alot of hack n slash games so the combat should be good in bleach
Probably kubo is helping them because he is good at making manga panels looks cinematic
Tite Kubo's paneling and posing is just fantastic.
all I can say, as a fellow human. is their trailer has way too much flashy stroby in it, and I instantly stop before my eyes start watering. which they are. cuz i'm human.
i wish they'd be more sensitive to us humans and our eyes to the strobing. :(
I did want to put a warning but forgot. My optical receptors experienced a luminance overload from the flashing, but the visuals looked so cool so I just accepted it.
I have a question, hopefully you may be able to provide a more educated answer than I ever could.
I honestly wasn't expecting to see much from this trailer, but I was surprised to see so many cutscenes and even gameplay for several characters.
I was expecting this game to be only starting development at most but to me this seems like they are really far into development?
Like how far do you have to be into a project to show things like that quick Ichigo vs Byakuya fight segment.
You see multiple stages, combos, cutscenes... How far does all of that suggest the team is into developing this game?
Thanks for the comment. Bandai Namco is using the same framework they use for all their Anime Arena Fighters. This actually starts off a project at around 70% completion, basically because the vast majority of the programming is already done.
To answer your question, it looks like the game is already far in development based on what we've seen. Since the programming is basically finished, that leaves only the character models, special effects, attack animations, cinematic scene scripting, sound design, and minor programming for unique character mechanics, if there are any.
We actually only see a handful of characters so those are the ones that are either close to or totally completed.
The dev team still has to create the models, animations, and Moveset data for all the remaining characters in the roster that we haven't seen.
@sungrandstudios Ah, I see! So they can reuse the programming from other arena fighters... Now I get why Bandai Namco loves arena fighters so much 😆
Thanks for the answer! I'm glad to hear that. Hopefully this means I won't have to wait much for the release because I need this game ASAP.
I wasn't a fan of the character models, it didn't give me that Bleach vibe I was looking for, but you brought up some great details with shading and all that and now I'm feeling a little more enthusiastic about it.
16:10 Also, now that I'm rewatching this... Is that blood when Ichigo slashes Byakuya? If so that's amazing, a big complain I have with arena fighters is that there's not a drop of blood to be seen, no matter the attack.
I it won't get a release date until next year 😂
Oh well. As Bleach fans, we should all be accustomed to waiting a long time.
As much as like this game visually, I'm more concerned of who's working on this project.
Doesn't Bandai Namco make every single anime arena fighter? At least we know what to expect with the gameplay.
@@sungrandstudios Bandai Namco, unless this project is made in house like Tekken, are usually contracted to other Japanese studios. Spike Chunsoft worked on Jump Force and the new Dragon Ball Budokai Tenkaichi Game. CyberConnect2 worked on the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Games. Byking worked on the My Hero Academia games.
It’s made by a studio who had a game that went to evo so that should give you some hope
Bruh tamsoft did not develop melty blood type lumina, four people from that company just help with the PC port. Nothing to do with the gameplay& mechanics design. Tht is French bread game Now oneechanbara origins is a Pretty good game, tamsoft work on a lot of hack and slash games , so the gameplay should look n feel satisfying as it gets closer to release @@darkshadow8827
the actual studio itself that made this game was somewhat involved in Senran Kaguya i think
That thumbnail is so misleading lol like what is in the arrow pointing at
It's pointing to some rim lighting that I actually discuss in the middle of the video as looking really good and contributing to looking faithful to the anime.
@@sungrandstudios Oh okay
What kind of game is it
It is an anime arena fighter. It looks like it'll be the same as all of Bandit Namco's other Arena fighters since they all share the same game template. Look up Naruto Connections or My Hero Academia One's Justice to see.
A lot of anime games have great graphics but nearly zero interesting gameplay
Yeah... that's why I'm bummed out it is an arena fighter.
I don't understand why don't they make the characters move on two frames a second instead of one?
It's not enough for me if you make these games with the anime artstyle; they gotta ANIMATE like an anime as well! This is why Arcsystem Works is highly praised for DBFZ and Guilty Gear Stride. Their Art style while similar is unique, AND they both animate on 2 frames a second. Meaning they skip a frame during interpolation; ya'know, like an anime!
This is why I cannot get behind any game with an anime aesthetic (unlessit'sfromarcsystemworks). They just slap on the cel shade and call it a day, without putting into the extra effort of the animating. The same ESPECIALLY applies to all JRPGs; ALL OF THEM.
I totally get what you mean about the animation. I'm a big fan of how GG and DBFZ animates and it does make other anime games seem a bit less authentic.b
I'm interested, what's the difference?
