This episode we are seeing a Traditional Sugarcane crushing and Processing that
into Jaggery. This video was shot during my visit to tourist places like Sathodi, Sahasralinga, Shivapura etc on
Month of April 2021. Heard about Alemane which was happening in my village and thought of oresenting it to you all.
Jaggery Making Process

In this video we are looking at the Jaggery process it contains. Sugar cane will be raised Organic method & not to use any
Fertilizer while cultivating it. No chemical additives will be added while processing the Jaggery.
Thatched shed is the makeshift sugarcane processing unit. A massive Furnace is made on the ground and large pan will be
kept on it.Pan will hold about 400 to 500 liters of sugarcane Juice.
Boiling juice should stirred continuously with the fire underneath being constantly adjusted.
Once the Jaggery is ready then it will be filtered using cotton cloth in Dry container.
Boiling Juice should be skillfully and rhythmically stirred and not allowing it to become lumpy or burnt. Amazing skill of men tilting the hot pan and pouring into Dry pan without spilling even drop of it.
Sugarcane juice will be boiled and later allow it to cool down. This process will need at-least 9 hours.
So they start this at night and early morning move it to the different container to cool it down.
Entire process does not emit any chemicals or pollution to the environment at all
