I like how these guys were all low key and polite in the beginning but now they seem to be a lot more comfortable..

With regards to the lady who caused the accidents with sign, apparently she did turn herself in and was at least aware and ashamed of what she did/caused.
Tour de france had legal grounds to sue from what I heard. She caused an accident and had some of the cyclers injured. Some had their ribs broken and shit.
But i think most cyclists already dropped all charges, there's only one who might sue. The cyclists seem more concerned with the organizers who let viewers be that close (clarification, close enough to endanger the riders. not the viewers), and more prominently, who have been choosing dangerous routes and don't secure routes properly, leading to more and more dangerous crashes, and who are refusing external testing of routes and safety measures.
@@tacitus5665 I'm pretty sure this is pretty much a case of someone just trying to get their moments on TV but ended up backfiring due to their own stupidity. I'm pretty sure the organizers relied on the fact that there's probably no one would be dumb enough to try and block the way of the cyclers. Though i agree there should have been a barrier but still... this ain't NASCAR where the cyclers are going so fast that it's dangerous for the audience (especially at that part of the course). The cyclers might have dropped the charge tho i dont think the organizers will just overlook this tho or France's(?) government for that matter.
@@chikin6146 Yes, you're right on the first part, let me reiterate, the riders are, when it comes to their own safety, more concerned about the laxity of the organizers when it comes to route safety, which the organizers keep ignoring, not one stupid viewer. They have even said themselves that going after the viewer is misplaced because really the organizers are at fault, and that the organizers keep ignoring bigger problems that are more important to them than that matter, such as dangerous and badly secured routes that might and have lead to the injury of the riders. And the riders did have the most substantial charges, such as "performance reduction" and reckless endangerment which would be the charges that are connected with the highest fines as well as prison time, while the organiser can maybe sue for trespassing or something, if they can even do much at all, and that really isn't a matter of the state.

They have legitimate ground to press charges. The European legal system is basically latin to me but I do understand that most municipalities have laws against road obstructions. Not to mention run of the mill reckless endangerment.

Nah it wasn't the sign that did it. She had one of her arm out which caused the cyclist to get hit. Her sign was just saying something about her grandparents, but she was looking at the camera instead of the cyclists. Idk seems like a fake fan, just being there for that. She fled the country right after instead of actually helping or facing her consequences/responsibilities.
