    Nick, I watch your channel pretty often, and as a general contractor, it really helps me think about all the details I might otherwise miss. One thing I've noticed about your channel is that you spend a lot of time talking about details, and not a lot of time showing those details being implemented. I get it, and you've acknowledged that you're more content creator than anything else these days, but I was just noticing that your viewership always seems to be quite a bit lower than channels who are actually on site doing the work, making these details you talk about happen. Just a reflection I'd thought I'd share with you, as all these details are super top notch, and it would be awesome to see them take shape in real time. In short, dust those bags off and show us how to do the work!

    I have built so many homes like this in Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, on Camelback mountain and Mummy mountain. To me they seem cold and unwelcoming.

      Wasn’t an important detail for the client.

      @hu5tle- ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@NSBuilders It may not have been"important" to them but as the builder I would have spec'd them in. Literally pennies in the grand scheme of the budget. I would argue it's those little details that add up to an even more polished final product. I even spec them in on my spec homes.
      Given the amount of effort NS goes into some of your switch details trying to make them disappear, I don't think you would advocate for this approach in any of your work.

    Black metal roof fascia needs to change to a different material/design. It’s stretching in the temp extremes.

      I hate metal roofs so much, I put a lot of them up. I would never want it on my house

      @charlesrussell6800 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Waviness in metal cladding and roofing just comes from a lack knowledge on how metal moves in temperature changes. Most roofers are never taught some proper techniques unfortunately; even if they mean well

    It could just as well have been a Danish Golden Age architect who designed that house. When Danish single-family houses became world architecture with Jørn Utzon, Arne Jacobsen & co. maybe you should see if you can find this Michael Sheridan's book Michael Sheridan visited more than 50 architect-designed Danish houses in connection with the book's research. Among them he selected 14, all of which date from the period between 1950 and 1962, and which are still intact. With his special combination of field research, architectural expertise and international perspective, Michael Sheridan describes why these particular houses deserve to be called Masterpieces. if you visit Denmark one day and want to know something about Architecture in Denmark, you should try and get hold of TV host and architect Ane Cortzen,

      Funny, you need a Phd and a book to describe why this type of design should be called a "masterpiece". The architecture of our ancestors needed no explanation for their beauty, splendor and excellence. The design spoke for itself. Modern architecture is nothing more than a novelty that bores with its age and reveals the psychosis of our modern times. Simply an extension of post-modern philosophy seeping into all areas of our life.

    What I'm seeing here is just a big expensive house - not why I tune into your channel. While you were in Phoenix, too bad you didn't tour projects by The Construction Zone or 180 Degrees, two builders obsessed with design and detailing more akin to your brand and what I expect to find here.
