If Ness *did* a full-on food theory, he would have stopped the people from forming a plan, which would stop them from trashing the place, which would stop Mike from losing Max as his babysitter, and Mike would continue working as normal WITHOUT finding out Abby can communicate with the missing children. So on and so forth. Basically, Ness's rant would stop the movie entirely or at least delay the antagonists.
they would likely be exhausted and just want to go home, barely any discussion on what to do abt mike

honestly, i'm disappointed he didn't get a bigger chunk of the movie than the tiny cameo he got in the diner, considering how deep he has his claws in trying to figure out the entire FNAF timeline from start to finish. it would've been really funny if he started going off into theory mode, than like a minute or more later, he gets cut off by the aunt, just so we can get that true "crazy matpat" theory vibe to really tie the movie in. cause whether we wanna admit it or not, matpat was a decently big part of the fnaf fandom with his theories
i really wish there was an after credits scene where the police ask Ness/Matpat about Aunt Jane and he just lays out some files or gets the chalkboard ready and says "I have a theory"
