What a nice surprise, a full album reaction won't disappoint you
BoS are not signed to any label and self-produce everything. I actually love the mix on this album, to me it feel really raw yet super clean. But I'm maybe biased because this is Top3 album of all-time for me. And everytime someone goes ''whats your favorite metalcore song ?'', I always automatically without a single doubt say ''Chapters''. This song is pinnacle of metalcore, for me. Its sooooo damn good. I'll never not recommend this song (and album) enough ever.
Im totally agree, chapters is a masterpiece. And the way the album sounds, I don't think it could be in any other way.

BoS is a pretty legendary Metalcore band. Those were the days when Parkway Drive was good af and metalcore peaked
the mix might sound a little odd to someone new to the band because they were (or still are?) a DIY-Band. they did everything themselves including the production etc.
almost like Circle of Contempt though they were at some point signed to Sumerian but still recorded everything themselves Sumerian only giving them a budget and some help

The Writer and The Gift are my all time favorites. Breakdown Of Sanity is one of 3 bands i enjoy almost every song. First album seems a bit off, but last 3 are all the same (in a good way)
Some people complain that most of songs sounds the same, but for me its actually + not - . Epic leads, alot of palm muted stacattos, Drums and Guitars always top in the mix, listening to them feels like a exercise, i always have higher heartbeat after listening to this band.
BOS is my go-to good mood music. Riifs sprinkled into a huge 3-5 minute breakdown paired with great atmosphere. I was so happy when they came back, even tho they don't do live shows anymore.
Every single song on every album is a banger! Definitely ahead of there time.

Maybe the vocals at that part reminded you of The Avalanche Diaries? Although, that’s probably a band nobody knows today
When BoS was around, they were literally the best Germany had to offer next to bands like Heaven Shall Burn, Caliban, Callejon and Eskimo Callboy
Neaera used to be amazing aswell, Armamentarium to be more specific,too bad they never released anything as good.

10 years ago this was easily some of the best metalcore music but nowadays it would be just another metalcore band.
