I would like to know the cost of living in Palau island, I like to visit but how about the hotels and food style in palau, Any one can you help me out.
Palau is a bit expensive destination like parts of South East Asia but it is definitely worth the cost for the great underwater world here. You will not find a backpacker vibe here as most people come for the diving which in itself will be expensive - allow US$200 or more for a day's diving, plus extra for the fees charged by the government to access dive sites. you can stay at Motel (US$80 and up) in a studio with kitchen facilities. food prices were reasonable at the grocery stores and eating out was not cheaper, a good meal was less than US$10, you can buy bento from the store like budget store ranging from $1.50 to $3.50. There are a number of similar priced places to stay in Koror and getting around was easy - taxis reasonably priced and you can rent a car for US$40 a day some $35.
