the fact that she only want to pass child models is if they're willing and not forced by their parents shows a lot of about how she takes it srsly
I really admire her. And I’m glad she brought it up that some kids are pressured by their parents.
It also is a wise business decision. You don’t want to invest in someone and then later have to force them to do their job. It’s also a kindness to the child. If it’s not the child’s personal desire, all sorts of emotional burdens will be on the child (trying to please parents, etc) and they are not equipped to handle it emotionally. Modeling and the entertainment business is a cutthroat industry, in some respects.

In really thankful for the Boss to be like "I'm not sure about that kid. They are often driven by their parents" because yeah that kid gave me the same vibe. Plus he is 4, he has no idea what's going on
i totally agree with the aura thing. I do photography, it doesnt matter if ur good looking or not, your aura shows through the viewfinder. you gotta be loved by the camera sorry not sorry

This is the first time Ive encountered someone so high in position being polite explaining that this job most requirement is their look. Meanwhile she had broader definition of looks, not just superficial beauty. Mad respect!
I don’t think parents should send a 4 year old into a company and make them work so they themselves can earn money 😂 that’s just my opinion

@@arianamrowe For me, the child first need to be able to communicate then they can pursue their passion. In a way their should be a limit but it's not even that big of a limit since there are kids who can speak fluently by the age of 3 like my cousin (she is now 6) but then her younger brother is 3 now but he doesn't communicate as well as she does when she was his age. Each child is different but the most important is definitely communication for me. They can keep their passion as a hobby before they hop on it.
That money could be saved up for his future college
Most of the time people in this industry would say 'ugly' then swipe left. She's so humble and polite. I love her def of beauty has broad meaning.
Far eastern ideals of beauty usually tends to go for that thin, fair white skin type of beauty, im really glad that the esteem boss really has an eye for the different facets of what is beautiful. A boss with this kind of diversed and cosmopolitan appreciation of her industry will surely make her company be one of the top global brand in fashion and modelling industry..
I think since this is a global audition for global audiences as global models..so that’s why~~they also mentioned who’d fit better in Korean Beauty standard tho..
@Austin R people often dk the difference between the two. High fashion models most of the time don't fit people's beauty standards. People also think beauty is subjective but it's very objective in modelling world.

Model life is hard even harder for no name models. Barely any money without recognition. No name models pay you like gig workers and thats if you pass an audition just to take a few photos and hope one day some model agency or product brands call you for an audition that gets you a high paying salary. Modeling should always be a gig work and side job until you land a huge contract. If you just relay solely on it ... every single day trying out auditions to try to land a model gig to pay bills then your screw. I have a few friends that did those audition and told me about it.
yep, I have never met anyone who was just a model/ always a model/ waiters or model / bartender - they need to find money to pay for their bills somehow. same as the actors/ actresses- it's the industry.

@Carol I’m in the business. These words have an effect on people the amount of fellow models I have met with eating disorders is shocking. They get told to lose weight over and over again until they look like they could snap if you blew on them. The judges said that you could be heftier and be a model but that guy who wasn’t even of a bigger build was told to lose weight?

14:00 The way Madeleine walks and stands (how her hips have a lot of movement with her arms straight and while she stands her legs are a bit apart) definitely demonstrated a strong aura. She may not be the prettiest (she is pretty though) but her walk really stands out.

Lmao I actually cried when they showed the guy with vitiligo sadly leaving. I bet this is yet another failed audition for him. I know it's also about aura and walking etc but looks also play a part (not that he's not beautiful, but people aren't used to his skin and a small player like Esteem probably doesn't wanna take on that risk). I hope one day he'll be able to break down barriers and inspire ppl just like how Winnie Harlow probably inspired him.

It’s okay no need to be sad! As a model, a lot of rejection is normal and it comes with the territory! Also, he is really unique and his vitiligo is a highlight if anything, not a downfall! He’s also signed so he’s doing pretty well! No more crying 💫✨

This reminded me of when I used to work for a fashion production company in NYC. I used to feel super bad for the new models. They would spend hours waiting to audition, alot of times cramped in hallways on the floor. Just to walk into a room for a mean European woman to look at you for half a minute. And if your agency isn''t really invested in you, you're probably getting paid in clothes not money.

Modeling was one of my dreams and passion since I was a kid. I would watch a lot of fashion runways, especially Naomi Campbell's. I would do a runway walk across the living room and really imagine myself on a real runway. Many people told me I look pretty and would be good at modelling, but as I was growing up, I had a lot of anxieties, insecurities, self doubt, and low self esteem. So I decided to give up on that dream and now I'm pursuing a different career which I'm still not sure if it is really what I want to do in life... Seeing these young girls go towards their dream to model makes me happy and sorry at the same time. I'm happy for them and feel inspired or motivated, but at the same time, I feel sorry for myself, for giving up and not trying.

I wanted to tell you that you should never give up. I, like you, grew up with a lot of anxieties, insecurities, self doubt, and low self esteem. I was even picked on by the "popular" kids growing up, because I was different. Even now, I still struggle with confidence. I didn't have supportive parents either, so I didn't get the head start that I wanted. I have been told "no" many times. Been told I am too old, or even I am too fat by companies. But I just keep going. I can't stop. We didn't have a choice coming into this world, but nonethless we are here, and life is short. So we must try. We must go for it. No matter how many times we are told no, we must still keep trying. That's all we can do. So please don't give up.

@@chelciewaya3138 Hi, I'm not a model or one to judge but I felt that while your gaze was pretty good, I couldn't feel that special aura emitting from your whole body. Maybe you were nervous...or don't really understand much about presence...but I think if you watched videos of top models or even stand in the presence of one...you'll understand.
I was at a mall a while back and one of the stores in the mall was having a fashion show. Obviously, they weren't very famous or a top model but they all had a type of aura that made you focus on them.
I think that is why Esteem didn't pick you. I do feel you have extremely great potential though. Don't give up!
