We were one of the lucky people who were able to attend the last three jears concerts in 013 Tilburg. These concerts sell out so terribly quickly. But if people have any doubts about going there, don't. But try it, it is and remains an experience in terms of sound, stage and artists that you can simply speak to inside and outside, and and the public off course. I noticed the only thing people ever recommend of Damian is Twisted Coil with Ayreon, I am a big fan of Damian Wilson so here are some songs I recommend. Since 2 years ago he has been with the band Arena and there is a good recent live version of Time Machine with Damian on vocals. There is of course his second band Threshold of which I recommend That's Why We Came, Life Flow and Eat The Unicorn. No idea if there are any live versions with Damian of those songs I just have an album of theirs which i've listened to many many times. His first band was Landmarq and I recommend Solitary Witness because that one left an impression on me since the first time I heard those songs at a Damian Wilson concert.

This show is the G. O. A. T. Prove me wrong. So glad you did this show with us and for us. The way all interact with each other, they have so much fun and you can see and feel it. And hey, Ayreon did 3 Shows in 2023 and he promised to release the show after about 6 months, so we all are waiting for March or April 2024. Unfortunately the shows were sold in record time so I had no chance getting a ticket.
The Theory of Everything is one of my favourite albums from Arjen... that and "Lost in the New Real". It has Marco, Tommy and Michael Mills as main characters!

You Legend. I caught only 5 or 8 songs during the stream (from work) then careened home to watch the entire thing. - made it in time to se the last 20 seconds of Eye of Ra Often, a reactor might have seen 10 or more from this concert before attempting to watch the whole thing. Honestly, I like the fact that Daniel had not seen most of it... some great "WTH" moments. It was well worth the re-watch. Got a chance to clean up a bunch of the computer room too ! Can't wait until they release the concert footage from this last fall. Brittany was amazing.
If you like that kind of music (Metal Opera I mean) then you need to check some more of it. For example Avantasia (first 2 albums) or Russian power-metal band "Epidemia". They have a metal opera which has 4 parts now. It is performed live with big amount of singers and actors on stage and special effects as well. Full shows (and separate songs as well) are published at their official TH-cam channel. I think you should give it a try
Also watch Arjen's "newest" project: Lucassen & Soeterboek's PLAN NINE - Before The Morning Comes: th-cam.com/video/2l0-yHau5QY/w-d-xo.html Before The Morning Comes is the first track released on Lucassen & Soeterboek's Plan Nine album aptly named "The Long-Lost Songs". Arjen and Robert sifted through a 30-year-old cassette tape containing their demos and stumbled upon a bluesy, unfinished piece featuring just Arjen's guitar and Robert's voice. Arjen completely forgot about it, but felt it had the potential to be something special.He's glad yhey pursued it, because it turned out to be one of the album's highlights!
"If they're ever in the DC area I am in" Unlikely I'm afraid. When Ayreon put on shows it's only ever in the Netherlands, usually at 013 in Tilburg, and every few years. The logistics of getting all these musicians on a tour would be horrendous!

Unlikely I'm afraid. When Ayreon put on shows it's only ever in the Netherlands, usually at 013 in Tilburg, and every few years. The logistics of getting all these musicians on a tour would be horrendous!

Great reaction again! Yes Ayreon is always more then a concert, I was at a concert last year. This year the live dvd of that concert will come out. Another great Ayreon concert to watch is Into The Electric Castle Live And other Tales. For a throwback in time you can watch Star One Kiven In space 2003. It is with Floor and Irene Jansen, Joost Van Den Broek, Damian Wilson, Arjen and more!
Intergaltic Space Invaders comes from a uk tv series Blakes 7 that ran from 1978 -1981, and Eye of Ra is from Stargate film. Both from the Star One projects first album.
