Hi everyone! The amount of feedback and engagement you've shared on this video has been absolutely amazing. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to comment and share your thoughts! One common piece of feedback is that the music in this video is mixed too loud. I've remixed the audio and re-uploaded an unlisted version of this video that has quieter background music if that's something that would be helpful to you. Everything is exactly the same, all I did was remix the music portion of the video. Link below! Peace, DG th-cam.com/video/_TA05RAlCqk/w-d-xo.html
Now this is the kind of engaged content creation this platform was built for. I agree the audio is a bit loud but I have inner ear sensitivity so pick up on that when others don't due to vertigo as a symptom Also they should link Outfits to possible blueprint drops or something similar. Like this outfit more likely "These blueprints" will drop ect. I remember reading a comment a while back saying this was actually a feature but I have smashed this game and can't tell if it's true or not. As it isn't a trackable feature due to the randomness of the game It could be true and we wouldn't have any reference to pick up on without going into game files ect. But looking online I don't think it is. But I actually like the idea because Outfits 100% do feel pointless outside you buying the one you are gonna play with(as it's repeat and die nature the skin ya like the most is the only one ya should buy)

This video has just convinced me to fully tackle dead cells and overcome that early knowledge curve. I’ve been hesitant on it for a while cause I couldn’t understand the progression but this has helped a lot and I’m excited to get into it now!
This has been the MOST helpful tips video I've watched on TH-cam of any game. There are a ton of mechanics in this game that just aren't explained and even though you eventually figure them out it's nice to not have to go through that learning curve.
@@deejaymo2679 hehe yeah stat spreading is the biggest begginer deadcells mistake Now that you aren't stat spreading and have beat hotk what BC are you on now
@dexnacorn still only on one 😭. Played for a while after I think i made it to hotk again but died and haven't played in ages now. I'm wanting to get back into it again though
That was a lot of help to be honest. Especially the weapon levels since I did not understand any of it when I started the game. Thank you so much, man! Great video!
I spent 125+ hours playing this game on Xbox one and then later on series x before finishing my first run. That doesn’t include the hours I spent playing it on iPad before getting it for Xbox. When I finally finished a run I had such a great feeling of accomplishment. I avoided tutorials and spoiler-ish videos until my first run one was completed and I’m glad I did because I was able to figure out on my own how most of the games mechanics work organically. That said, I’m glad I stumbled upon this video for research purposes because it does provide some insights I want equipped with prior to watching. Great video! Great production and quality! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for the comment and feedback! I think it's so great that you spent so much time just playing and having your own experience before seeking out information from other people. It probably sounds funny coming from someone who makes tutorials, but that kind of video game experience feels like a lost art these days. I recently played through Tunic completely blind and had such an awesome experience compared to if I read about it or watched tutorials beforehand. All that said, I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for stopping by!
I got this on Apple Arcade for a free trial and this video really helped progress throughout the game especially the runes. Good quality production and quality. Keep going man
Hmm, I've been trying to get into dead cells lately and this has probably been the most concise and best video that I've seen. Couldn't believe you only have 700 subs. Thanks for this and keep making more videos like this and you will succeed.
Great video, great production, fitting music, helpful guide. Everything you need. I thought that you had at least 100k subs while watching this, well done.
Damn im impressed, everything from the editing to the background music, it fits perfectly to the mood, when you are talking and apologising, the music makes me feel mood, its perfect, hats off to you☺️😇
First off, your voice is amazing, and second, thank you so much for the video! I’m in love with this game and I’ve played it for almost a week straight now, and these tips helped me out so much. Thanks again!
Well then Well researched, positive, encouraging, inclusive, smooth voice, open to options... Pretty much anything you could wish from a guide video. You sir put in the work and it paid off. S+ quality video.
Awesome video, great quality overall, hard to believe you don't have more subs, audio balancing may need some tweaking as the music was a little loud to hear you properly but otherwise perfect video, you helped me reignite my passion in this game and i hope to see you take off man.
That's so awesome to hear! I'm glad that you enjoyed the video and are getting back into Dead Cells. Thank you for the audio feedback, too. I can't fix it without a new upload but future videos will be mixed better.
Thank you for this guide!!! Two runs after watching your vid, I was able to get the Ram, then the spider rune, which led to my first game clear through the use of a legendary effin tombstone plus shield!!!
That's great news - congratulations! Legendary Tombstone is so awesome, such a nice find. It sounds like a great run. I'm glad this was helpful for you.
I’ve been doing dead cells for almost three years at this point hunting blueprints (just reached 1bc, i know. I took it at a snails pace) and had i seen this when i started out i’d probably be at least at 3bc at this point. Great video.
Good job brother, you are really informative and humble and when you recommended other people videos on this game, that caught my attention and subscribed

@@DisappointedGiant It's been an absolute blast so far. I really appreciated the locations for the movement runes as it's given me an early goal while I learn the game. You're video did a great job explaining the mechanics of the game that I wasn't grasping as well when I first tried out the game via Gamepass.
Great video. Just got the game for my kid and we're having a blast playing it without knowing what the hell we're doing. Your video has lent some insight into some of the mechanics. I'm a learn as you go player, and Dead Cells is perfect for blindly running levels and figuring out how the game rewards you. Prior to watching your video, we were blowing all our scrolls into "Survival" thinking it gave us the most HP but using only brutality weapons. That little tidbit is going to vastly improve the runs. THANKS AGAIN!
You could have also talked about parrying because its a thing that begginers should have into consideration while learning the game. I would like to see a video about that. But overall a great video. KEEP THE GOOD CONTENT!
Thank you for the feedback! I didn't talk about the mechanics of parrying because I would also need to get into other how-to details, but am considering doing a video on parrying and shield analysis in the future.

Just picked this up as I had an itch for a new roguelike. Heard nothing but good things so decided to give it a shot. Watched a couple newbie guides, but this is the most comprehensive and useful one I've found, hands down. Thanks for the excellent work and will be subbing as my to to source on this game I'm already catching an addiction for 👍🏻
That's great to hear! I'm glad I could help out. I hope you enjoy playing and learning about Dead Cells - it's quite the journey. Thank you for stopping by!
I should have bought this game when I first learned about it, but the gameplay I saw didn’t look very interesting to me for some reason. I just bought it a few days ago and I can tell I’ll be putting some hours into it.
Wow, so well done. You seem to truly have a passion for this media and a natural ability to convey it to people. I just got the mobile version a couple weeks ago and really like it, after playing with a controller. The touch controls were not conducive to survival. I purchased it on ps4 just the other day and am excited to play it that way as well. Thanks so much for the well explained information. You have a bright future if this is what you want to do. Cheers.
Thank you much for commenting - I really appreciate your feedback and support! I started making videos connect with and help folks since I've been playing Dead Cells for so long. I hope you enjoy the PS4 version of the game - I'll bet it'll look and feel better on the big screen!
Working out of town and I needed a new game on my steam deck and this was the game I got. I'm liking it so far but I'm completely lost. Thanks for your video.
Thank you so much this made me realize that I was only playing the game in a way that would only frustrate me I got lucky with a high level Alucard sheild and sword and got my first boss cell realy fast then I realized there was bc1 and I went straight into it with the goal of getting the next boss cell but it has been kicking my ass but this video made me realize that maybe I shouldn't rush it because even if bc1 has made me super good a dodging I still get hit and eventually die. This video made me realize that I should take my time and unlock things because I hardly have anything, I was carried by the dlc and I need to slow down and set a shorter easier goal. What is crazy is I don't even have all the runes I only have the vine one and the main reason I was rushing was that I believed that beating the last boss on bc1 would get me the next rune. So thank you for saving me from the definition of insanity, doing the same thing over and over again expecting something to change when I could barely even beat the concierge, the only reason I even get to the king is because death from the castlevania dlc is honestly easier than the concierge lol Edit: holy shit i just typed a full fucking essay as a thanks i must have been extremely thankful because i suck at wrting
I'm glad this was helpful for you and that it may save you some time and sanity while playing! I can totally see why you'd think that about getting runes. No apologies needed, I love reading long comments! :D
Such a great, helpful vid. Been getting better but had to stop and ask myself wtf am I even supposed to be doing in this game? Knowing the structure of the game mechanics really helps play TOWARD something. Thank you!

Nice video ! As a big Dead Cells player I decided to check it out by pure curiosity and if I can just give you a tiny feedback, I feel like the music is a little bit too loud but maybe that's just my personal taste. That being said, I like your content and will be looking forward to more ! Cheers !
Thank you for the feedback! I agree - the music is mixed a bit too loud here and am taking that into consideration for future videos. I'd love to fix it but once a video is up TH-cam won't let you re-upload it so here we are, haha. I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
Hi, Great guide man I'd beaten the first boss but was just kinda lost with no real fundamental understanding of anything. I really appreciate your work.
I just bought this game on mobile and although the controls are harder than on a controller, I'm really having a blast! Thanks for the tips, I'm having a hard time figuring out how to enter the caves but I'll probably figure it out eventually.
Glad to hear you're enjoying the game! It's so much fun. The Cavern part of the video is buried in the rune section at 19:30. You'll need all the movement runes to get there, though.
Thank you so much! A while ago, I beat the hand for the first time and since then I was stuck on 1 BC. Moreover, couldn't beat the hand in 0 BC again. After watching this video, I opened a fresh file and beat the hand in the first run, beat the hand again in my first trial with 1 BC and beat the hand again with 2 BC after a couple of hours.

This video has just convinced me to fully tackle dead cells and overcome that early knowledge curve. I’ve been hesitant on it for a while cause I couldn’t understand the progression but this has helped a lot and I’m excited to get into it now!
I love this! So glad to hear that.
This has been the MOST helpful tips video I've watched on TH-cam of any game. There are a ton of mechanics in this game that just aren't explained and even though you eventually figure them out it's nice to not have to go through that learning curve.
Thank you! I appreciate you saying that and I'm glad you found it helpful.
Just started playing this game. Thank you soo much for this detailed guide it'll help alot
Dude, the quality of your videos are insane. I can’t wait to see you blow up 🖤
This was so helpful thank you I wasn't making any solid progress til this video. My first run after watching this I beat the final boss
That's great news, congratulations!! I'm glad to hear this was helpful.
Hmmm were you stat spreading (equal distribution among all 3 colors)
I am curious
@@dexnacorn yeah I was stat spreading, rookie mistake
@@deejaymo2679 hehe yeah stat spreading is the biggest begginer deadcells mistake
Now that you aren't stat spreading and have beat hotk what BC are you on now
@dexnacorn still only on one 😭. Played for a while after I think i made it to hotk again but died and haven't played in ages now. I'm wanting to get back into it again though
bro the music in 18:35 is so groovy, can listen to it all day goddamn
Probably the best DC beginner video I’ve watched, useful to a new player like me. Thanks!
This is the video I’ve been looking for. I can’t thank you enough for this. Absolutely perfect. Thank you
That was a lot of help to be honest.
Especially the weapon levels since I did not understand any of it when I started the game.
Thank you so much, man! Great video!
Best Tutorial i ve Seen so far. Thanks
No like no comments? I'ma fix that
I spent 125+ hours playing this game on Xbox one and then later on series x before finishing my first run.
Enjoyed this video so much. Pleasant voice, amazing background music, useful tips. Thanks!
Thank you! :D
Thank you very much!
Great video, great production, fitting music, helpful guide. Everything you need. I thought that you had at least 100k subs while watching this, well done.
Wow this video is a gem, you're explaining everything, you keep it at an interesting rate while being crystal clear, the music is great, I'm hooked
Damn im impressed, everything from the editing to the background music, it fits perfectly to the mood, when you are talking and apologising, the music makes me feel mood, its perfect, hats off to you☺️😇
Thank you man, just started today and appreciate this after playing a few hours straight
First off, your voice is amazing, and second, thank you so much for the video! I’m in love with this game and I’ve played it for almost a week straight now, and these tips helped me out so much. Thanks again!
Thank you! I'm glad you're enjoying the game - there's so much good stuff to discover. Glad I could help out!
Well then
Well researched, positive, encouraging, inclusive, smooth voice, open to options... Pretty much anything you could wish from a guide video.
You sir put in the work and it paid off. S+ quality video.
Thank you!
I just started playing this game and this vid was very helpful thanks!
Great Content, Excited to see your 1-3-5 BC runs and tips.
Started playing a week ago and this is the best intro video I’ve seen! So glad I found your channel!
Thank you so much. I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
I just got this a few days ago.
It's so incredibly impressive
Holy crap you only have 800 subs??? Dude the videos was made so well I thought you'd at least have a couple thousand. Keep up the good work
Thank you very much!
I’ve been doing dead cells for almost three years at this point hunting blueprints (just reached 1bc, i know. I took it at a snails pace) and had i seen this when i started out i’d probably be at least at 3bc at this point. Great video.
Thank you so much. Congrats on getting to 1BC! There's nothing wrong with playing slow. :)
Good job brother, you are really informative and humble and when you recommended other people videos on this game, that caught my attention and subscribed
Thank you, that means a lot! I appreciate the sub.
Thanks for this video it was incredibly informative! I was looking to dip my toes into Dead Cells and this video was the perfect introduction. I'm excited to get playing now
Glad to hear it. I hope you enjoy the game!
@@DisappointedGiant It's been an absolute blast so far. I really appreciated the locations for the movement runes as it's given me an early goal while I learn the game. You're video did a great job explaining the mechanics of the game that I wasn't grasping as well when I first tried out the game via Gamepass.
This beginner's guide is masterfully done. I don't see a way to get in touch with you, and I'd really like to do that.
You're welcome! I hope you and your kid have hours of fun ahead together you with Dead Cells
This is sooo immensely helpful and your voice is very calming ♥️
I'm glad to hear it was helpful for you. Thank you for the compliments!
I'm a new player, just finished Blasphemous 1 and 2, and now I get to keep playing as The Penitent One!
Just got the game. I’m not gonna lie, rogue likes are not my forte but I’m trying 🤣
It’s a beautiful game! Your guide is great, thanks!
That's great, glad to hear it! I hope you enjoy the game and get some good fun out of it.
This was the dead cells 2 video that I was looking for, everything at its place
Great video mate, well done
Excellent video! I have 30 hours under my belt and still didn't know about most concepts you presented so thanks!
That's great to hear - thank you for the comment!
Just got the game and I'm loving it.
Was stuck bc I had no idea how to progress and unlock more level who were greyed out. Was about to quit the game until I stumbled upon this video. Thanks! I’ll be off playing a new run now!
That's great to hear - I'm glad this was helpful for you. Good luck with your runs!
wait what. 745 subs? this video was incredible, both informative and well made, and you have a nice voice. this helped me get the wall climbing and ram runes finally and i feel like i have a better grasp on so much. thank you!!!
I'm so glad to hear that this was helpful to you! Thank you for the compliments and I hope you have some great runs ahead.
@@DisappointedGiant i think you'll be happy to know that (def at least partially with you to thank) i obtained my first boss cell today!! and i'm going hard on BC1 :) thanks again friend
@@spookyfrogs1874 Awesome! Get it!
Broo im a 5bc player (took me 3yrs lol,) but ur vid was soo awesome man. Keep it up, i learnt some new stuffs❤
That's great to hear - I'm glad you got some good info from the video. Thank you for the feedback!
What a great video I just saw, I was about to quit from this game because I am new to this and I wasn't going anywhere with the progress but this video just inspired me to keep trying and to find my way to play it! Thanks for the inspiration!
So glad I could help and that you're going to keep playing. Thank you for the comment, and good luck! :D
Wow, great job ! This is by far the best video on dead cells i've seen
That's quite a compliment. Thank you!
I should have bought this game when I first learned about it, but the gameplay I saw didn’t look very interesting to me for some reason. I just bought it a few days ago and I can tell I’ll be putting some hours into it.
man your voice is just perfect for these typpe of walkthru videos
You picked a great game to dig into. I hope you enjoy!
So thank you for saving me from the definition of insanity, doing the same thing over and over again expecting something to change when I could barely even beat the concierge, the only reason I even get to the king is because death from the castlevania dlc is honestly easier than the concierge lol
Edit: holy shit i just typed a full fucking essay as a thanks i must have been extremely thankful because i suck at wrting
I'm glad this was helpful for you and that it may save you some time and sanity while playing! I can totally see why you'd think that about getting runes. No apologies needed, I love reading long comments! :D
Really awesome, easy to understand video man. Thank you for sharing it, gonna check out your other content now!
Such a great, helpful vid. Been getting better but had to stop and ask myself wtf am I even supposed to be doing in this game? Knowing the structure of the game mechanics really helps play TOWARD something. Thank you!
I'm so glad to hear that this was helpful! This is great feedback, thank you so much.
this is suuuuuch a great vid. I needed the advice at every point. Wish we could double or triple like vids and promote them further.
I'm glad the video was helpful for you - I appreciate you taking the time to comment. Good luck with your runs!
the grind is over 100+ hours of boss rush I finally completed the S rank forge you gave me the motivation. Thank you disappointed giant and I can tell you i am not disappointed
Hell yeah, congratulations! So happy to hear this.
Absolutely loved this video! Especially your song choices haha
Amazing video, helped me a lot! First Boss Cell in my 13th run, I killed the Queen from the DLC. 🎉
Nice, glad to hear it!
Man, this video was GREAT! Thank you
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
thanks for your tips over these videos. finally finished 4bc tonight. i need to sleep before giving 5bc a go.
Nice! Congrats on beating 4BC!
We appreciate you working so hard fur us :-)
Such great content
Hi,
Great guide man I'd beaten the first boss but was just kinda lost with no real fundamental understanding of anything.
Just started playing couple of days ago... This awesome video helped me a lot! Thank you!
Excellent, I'm glad to hear it!
This is amazing. Congrats! So glad to hear that.
