But he has spoiled the careers of many great players. When he became captain, ashwin and jadeja were at their peak. He removed both and brought in chahal and kuldeep. Then when they were at peak, he brought in washington sundar and axar patel. Then when they were at their peak. All of a sudden in world cup, varun chakarvarthy and ashvin back along with rahul chahar. Same was the case in last world cup 2019 where all of a sudden vinay shankar was experimented in place of jadeja. And same is the case in batting. Shreyas iyyer and dhawn played last 3 years and in world cup they experimented with surya kumar yadav and ishan kishan. Rohit and Dravid both have proven to be trophy winners and building a great squad. So its time for kohli to step down from captaincy and take responsibility. That how Indian cricket grows. Thats what Dhoni did voluntarily and thats what kohli should do

Even the best commanders in the world lose the war when their foot-soldiers refuse to fight. Problem is not the fighting ability but lack of mindset to fight. for me Kohli has done his bit to gain the confidence of his players through his heroic innings against Pakistan but failed to raise the bar, so it’s not the lack of initiative or leadership quality that is responsible but certainly the other factors which must needs to be addressed as to what’s going on between the players?? If this is left unaddressed more such situations will arise in near future, nobody will take responsibility but the captain only even if the captain is other than Virat kohli.
