People get into debt giving what they can't afford, people get gifts they don't want, and everything is a waste of time and money. Families come together who don't get on so tensions rise, others are lovely and forgotten and feel suicidal, that rate goes up through the roof this time of year.

As we can see, the first Christmas was marked with many acts of giving. God gave us His Word, His One and only Son to be our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The emperor Caesar Augustus gave a decree requiring all people to be counted for the census. The shepherd's themselves gave praises and testimony about what they had seen and heard that night. The Magi, or those wise men from the East gave gifts and worshiped Jesus.
