Compared with the old model, the new car has fine adjustments in both interior and exterior design and also adopts the fifth generation. Additionally, the new car will be introduced on July 25. For reference, the current price of Song PLUS DM-i Honor Edition is in the range of 129,800-169,800 yuan.
In terms of design, the new car generally maintains the design style of the models on sale, but new 19-inch aluminum alloy wheels with low wind resistance are also added to this foundation. The "BUILD YOUR DREAMS" logo on the back was canceled and changed to the "BYD" logo.
The dimensions of the new car are the same as the current model, with length, width and height of 4775 mm/1890 mm/1670 mm respectively, and the wheelbase length is 2765 mm.
It is equipped with BYD's fifth-generation DM hybrid technology. The 1.5L engine has a maximum power of 74kW and the drive motor has a maximum power of 160kW. Compared to the current model, the engine power has been reduced by 7kW and the maximum power of the drive motor has been increased by 15kW.
In terms of battery life, the new Song PLUS DM-i will offer optional lithium iron phosphate fin battery packs with a capacity of 18,316 kWh and 26,593 kWh. The pure electric cruising range under WLTC conditions is 91 km and 128 km respectively. In addition, in case of power loss, the fuel consumption of the car is 4.95L/100km in WLTC operating conditions and 5.3L/100km in the current model.
