Laura, we all have makeup in our drawers that we still reach for that we've had longer than we want to admit!!! For me, it's my blushes and mixed face palettes. I just cannot part with them. I do spray them with alcohol once in a while to keep them from growing "things." I LOVED this video, such a blast from the past. I found myself feeling so proud of how much you are matured, and how successful you are. It's obvious what a hard worker you are, and even with hard times, you just kept pushing forward, Bravo!!!

My daughter and I still use ABH dip brow to this day! I also remember in 2016 getting the bronzer from physicians formula which I still use to this day!
Same here! I love how it looks and it’s so natural. I think people wrote it off because people would use soooo much product and end up having brows that looked tattooed.

Before I started watching TH-cam videos on makeup a couple of years ago, I had a Bobbi Brown single eye shadow FROM THE MID 2000S. It was literally 20 years old and still going strong.

Ah what a throwback. That modern renaissance palette was it 👏🏼 the orange shade realgar was hands down my favorite eyeshadow of all time. I never wear eyeshadow now, when I wear makeup I focus on the face but back in the 2016 era I would spend 30 or 45 minutes doing elaborate eyeshadow looks 😂

The becca x Jacklyn hill palette was it for me. I actually broke it by mistake back then and i recently found it on posh mark and bought it. It has champagne pop and prosecco pop plus two shimmery blushes and a matte blush.

This video was really fun girl! I'm also from Alabama & can so relate to what you express about the challenges w the extreme culture differences in LA. I moved there for my first corporate job after college & I didn't last long, it was culture shock for sure. I would try again though, like you said, lessons learned in life has helped me for the better & I'm more resilient now. And, LOVE ❤ those brows, YES!

Why do I feel like I remember Laura dropping the Jaclyn Hill palette back in the day in her video showcasing it and that’s where the notch out of it came from? Like as soon as she was like “what happened here?” It popped in my mind like That’s So Raven 😂
I was a teenager during the peak TH-cam makeup era and I got married over the weekend and literally used some of these makeup items on my wedding haha full circle. My Jacilyn Hill palette is definitely super expired but my make up turned out great 😂❤
I love the old fashion makeup tutorial. I absolutely love lifestyle videos but once in a while makeup tuts are great too.
I still use the ABH modern Renaissance palette, it was the very first proper eyeshadow palette I bought and how I got into using eyeshadow. I used to have this old Urban Decay born to run palette but never used it as I never knew how to use eyeshadow, and then it broke when moving so the ABH one was my first intro into using eyeshadow properly. The NARS creamy concealer is another product that was always pretty popular for ages, and the Armani Luminous silk foundation
I still have old eyeshadow pallets, it takes forever to use them up! And a few blushes too and still have my Too Faced Chocolate bronzer too

Becca did go out of business but a couple of their most popular products were bought by smash box. I wish I could get their hydra-mist powder and the backlight priming filter. I have a half bottle of the priming filter left and I’m scared to use it up. That powder was great for dry under eyes. 😢 sadness
