Hi ace, I've been looking at emergeNYC on steam and theres many people in the reviews saying that the dev doesnt know what he is doing and is more focused on adding more content instead of fixing the games issues, I know you are close to the dev so im hoping you will be able to answer this.
one review said "After viewing and not being able to play the game. I suggest not getting it. My roommate and I have powerful enough computers to handle the game and her and I can't even play the game after loading into the map. The game stutters a lot and then when it comes to getting units. It just freezes and crashes.
I suggest not wasting your time with a development team that completely incompetent and act like their whole game is a dictatorship. After seeing multiple reviews and multiple people asking for help in the discussion. It obviously seems that this team is most focused on getting stupid content out and fixing petty shit then fixing the big issue of people not being able to load into the game and not being able to load into a map and play correctly. The team is more focused on their stupid roleplay groups then fixing their game.
At this point, I feel like this game is becoming a No Mans Sky two. The development teams does work to push out the game but when it actually becomes a decently popular game. The team basically abandons it and a game where you can actually roleplay on is a major cause of this issue. The motto with this is that since they are a staff member or some sort of high ranked person. EVERYONE is going to want to go to them and play with them. Once they see that they do that, it doesn't stop.
So, really the game is jack shit, the company does jack shit for fixes, and the community is jack shit also. This development teams show their lack of game development and customer satisfaction as of all game companies.
I HIGHLY suggest not getting this game unless you want your time wasted by a game that is completely broken and won't even run on a computer that has a Titan V and R9 in it. So I will now be refunding this game and leaving this review. I actually think this is my first ever review and it's a super bad one. Well, hopefully people find this helpful and useful and I hope this team can also learn a few things later in their development and work better than play their game and not work on it.
EDIT: After rebuying the game and doing some test. I finally figured out my biggest issue of the stuttering. The traffic. The traffic caused a lot of my stuttering. From my understanding, the traffic when rendering in, using a shit ton of data and freezes your game. So, if you have this big stuttering issue. Then try to turn off traffic."

is this true? I want to support this game but with accusations like this i just cant bring myself to do it.
It definitely still has a way to go as far as being optimized. My previous computer struggled to play it. 2 weeks ago I upgraded to a new PC and I am able to play it better but still suffer from lag in multiplayer after passing 4-5+ people playing in the session. Single player plays well and 2-3 session multiplayer runs decent. My specs are a Ryzen 9 3900x, Nvidia RTX2080 Super and 32Gb of ram. I also have a laptop that has a nvidia gtx1660ti and 16gb of ram and I can play since player on it with some lag here and there but not multilayer.
I do enjoy playing the game and hope that it will continue to be worked on and improved optimization. And if your into firefighting, I think you will enjoy it to. It just comes down to your computer specs.
