I like how with the original arcade you had to lean really far on a motorcycle frame that was deliberately designed to only lean so fast and had force feedback, but now you just use digital left and right keys on an emulator and it makes the game look so silly and crazy easy.
I was never played the red motorcycle thing on this game before, but used to see people using the penguin with scooter. And it’s the most humorous Namco arcade game to me!hahahahaha😂.
i playing so much this arcade racing game also this game had rubber banding AI thats makes more frustating to win first is very similar to the first ridge racer games in arcades the AI opponent runs so fast than you because they made very cheap and rubbish like this awesome bike arcade game
Worth noting that the Green Hills track originally came from Suzuka 8 Hours 2, which has a similarly named track with an exact same layout as the one here.
me too but i hate how the opponents run much faster as hell by the rubber banding game effect thats they used as the first time in some namco arcade racing games
I remember playing this game when I was 4 years old at Bideford Bay in Devon, I didn't know exactly how to play it as I was 4 but it was a brilliant game. At the same arcade there was "San Francisco Rush" and "Air Combat".
Confirming that the penguin and NVR750RSP is unlockable only in the Japanese version of the game. This is also why the penguin bike's credits is entirely in Japanese and doesn't show when you play it on the English ROM with any other bike.
Actually, that is not it. The glitched bike only showed up because I changed the value of a memory address to something you're aren't supposed to be able to select.
Sorry, but I wasn't planning to make anymore videos of this game for now. As far as I know, it isn't possible to play multiplayer yet on MAME, but if I am able to make a multiplayer video of this game in the future, I'll try to remember to use those colors.
I just used one of the MAME cheats to use it. There is supposed to be a button combination that works to unlock it, but it never worked for me, and I'm thinking it might only work for a different unavailable region.
@@Leedleleedle101 I'm going to assume you haven't tried cheats in MAME before, but I apologize if I'm wrong. You can find a download for them if you look for "cheat.7z". You also need to change cheat from 0 to 1 in MAME.ini or just use the command -cheat when you start the game. The penguin character can easily be selected by just going to character select and then pressing enter when selecting that cheat in the menu. Unfortunately, for some reason, a code for the other bike was not included in the cheat list, which means you would have to extract cybrcycc.xml from cheat.7z and change it. For the penguin cheat, the code is listed in the xml as 00060001, which you would need to change to 00040001 for the bike you mentioned, or 00030001 for the weird red thing. MAME won't read this xml file unless it's in cheat.7z.
@@arronmunroeAccording to Insert Coin, the button commands for the penguin and NVR750R-SP only works in the Japanese version. This is also why you don't get the hints about them (or the staff roll, except when forcibly playing as the penguin bike) in the English ROM.

The Wild Hog steers nasty also with gamepad. It takes training not to skid into road barries.

In the last race they merge all the motorcycles into a half-complete Transformer.
Is that an emulator glitch, or did this monstrosity actually make it into the game?
Oof, that is some gnaaaarly rubber banding.
It has that Ridge Racer/Ace Driver Victory Lap gameplay and map style 🎉🎉

"Watch your left!"
arronmunroe, playing the Penguin: *_NOPE_*
It's Paul Phoenix, on his Wild Hog!
This game looks sooooo fun to play, and its soundtrack is insane.

After listening many times to the Road Hog's engine sound... yep, it has a 2JZ engine xD
Oh to be dazzled by Neo Yokohama 👀
"What if we took Ridge Racer and removed two wheels?"
Thank you for posting this. I remember playing this in the arcade as a kid, but never knew what it was called.

Of all the youtube game channels, your videos featuring 1440p-60fps are awesome! ^_^

Thank for upload this, that year I play this game won many time at game room, great memories!

The bike sound reminds me Namco's MotoGP games in PS2.
Arguably, the lineage looks like this: Suzuka 8 Hours 1&2 > Cyber Cycles > 500 GP > MotoGP series on PS2/PSP (and System 256)
That Penguin reminds me about Kawazaki from Los Pinguinos de la van a mascar
I used to play the shit out of this at the arcade, thinking the graphics were amazing :D
Heh that last one looks like a glitches or a motorcycle driving a motorcycle

Divider:Am i joke to you?
This blows my mind.
Rumor has it that Tilke inspired on Neo Yokohama track for all the F1 garbage he designed XD
I played that game just 1 time in my life
WOO miss this game much ! sick of penguin and finally get to see NVR750 in action and solve my childhood mystery. What is the 6th bike actually ?
My childhood.
Surprused this never got a PS1 port.
It's me, or the Road Hog has a 2JZ...
I'm going to have to get this game on Emulator if i can figure it out if i could
re the glitched bike in the last race, it seems that you were not meant to use the penguin bike in the Green Hill track.
Actually, that is not it. The glitched bike only showed up because I changed the value of a memory address to something you're aren't supposed to be able to select.
@@arronmunroe You're right, I forgot the penguin bike was also used there in that track in this video.
Green hill? More like green hill zone
Tortus and the hare
Which button combo did you use to slide with the NVR750?
On the Japanese version ROM, highlight Anthias, Wild Hog and NVR 750R in that order, braking on each highlight (twice on the NVR highlight).
♥️♥️ΝΟΣΤΑΛΓΙΑ♥️♥️♥️
Can you play with anthias in black and in yellow please?

arronmunroe what cheat did you use, also I’d like to know the one for the nvr 150 rr sp
