I do feel that I need to push back a little here.. I have run hundreds of SAR drone missions, and the ONLY time we have considered using mapping has been when it has turned into a recovery mission. While mapping has a place in SAR, in practicalities it is far from the first option. There is a lot of nuance that you have missed out on in your SAR trainings, and hope that its picked up on in the next one you say you're coming out with. Thermal obviously has its limitations in SAR and I hope you appropriately address that too. One of the biggest problems we have are random drone pilots showing up thinking they can help and toss up their drone without any coordination or permission. I do, however, enjoy the content you put out.

But they mentioned pix4d about 1 million times.
DJI Terra can process images a 3T can gather in a S&R mission, and you can set waypoints or a mapping mission in DJI Fly. The only drawback is the 3T uses a rolling shutter, and not the mechanical shutter the 3E utilizes, so not as sharp an image. Would you fly the area first with the 3T and then, if something interesting appears, use the 3E? But regardless, the set waypoints or mapping mission in Fly would be handy to ensure complete area coverage?
