To any french people who understand English:
I'm genuinely sorry that it's become a meme that France "surrendered" in World War 2. I know you didn't. You put up a determined fight, and fought past the point of defeat. Through it all, you *never* gave up. If it were up to me, I'd rather fight alongside French soldiers over British soldiers if World War 3 ever happens.
