My Mac keeps on turning off as in sleeping by itself again and again. It turns on if I simply press any key but it keeps on sleeping again and again. I've tried re setting pram and smc but it still continues

Restarted my computer after it went dark and just had a battery indicator on the screen with a lighting that it was charged on it.
Pram was the one that reset the other one did not.

engo un macbook pro 2017 y cada dos meses deja de reconocer los puertos USB-C y se pone lento, como consecuencia deja de cargar y la batería se agota, la única solución que he encontrado es reiniciar la SMC que es presionando shift + control + option + power durante 10 segundos y funciona!!!, el problema es que esta falla me la arroja cada 2 meses aproximadamente y no se que le sucede al mac y no se si reiniciar el SMC a largo plazo dañara el equipo.

How do I know if it’s reseted properly
He doesn't mention this in the video, When you do the first one (Option + Command + P + R), you will hear your mac boot up twice. Stop pressing the button after you hear the second time mac booting up sound comes, hope this helps.

the second one was the smc, he was just saying the wrong acronym.
you can also just hold down the power button for 10 seconds and it will do the same thing.

My early 2013 macbook air has black lined screen every time I turned it on. I’ve tried to reset the NVRAM and SMC, but once it restarts, the display is still black with lines. I never had any problem with my mac before. The battery life, lights, keyboard, etc are fine. Can you pls help me out?

That happens to laptops unless if they are plugged in charging. All laptops lose power unless plugged in.

This whole Mac line up has been having severe issues. Worst purchase ever for myself. And to think this was the final straw for Apple to stop using Intel and manufacturing their own chips. We got scammed into buying this product that doesn't function well and heats up at the slightest tasks.
What about the smc
According to another video, the first one you do is for both the NVRAM and PRAM since all Macs have just either one or the other, and for the SMC is the second one you do, which is not what you said

Have you ever seen. When you open your Mac. It’s like someone else in inputting a password. And you can’t erase it and it’s the wrong password so if you hit enter it just shakes and puts the same one back. I can’t log in.

@@surajgangoni8437 Yes, What I did was a smc reset and then I let my computer’s battery hit 0 before putting to charge and its working perfectly fine now.
@@Predicted-sy5nc How did you do the SMC reset? I’ve tried following all the instructions I could find online, but all that happens is the Mac boots up then sits at the normal login screen. The Touch ID doesn’t seem to be functioning as a power button, at least for some things. It won’t do a hard shutdown when I try to hold it, either.

my macbookair is just glitched like its like after pram reset, Smc reset and updating it it dosent work. By not working i mean i lost some of my notes i keep typing in caps lock even though its not even green light and my shift lock key isnt working at all and whenever i typed something into the search bar it just loads a whole new window for it specifically can somebody help? im falling behind my internet classes.

My MacBook Pro 2018 is having white light line on the right side of Touch Bar .. and it is sometimes there and sometimes it disappears. But when The mac is in sleep mode the white line is there on the Touch Bar .. can I tell whether it is hardware issue or software

He means don't turn it off by using the power button. Use the "Shut Down" option on the Apple menu (top left).

So, there's no way to reset SMC without having to reboot? I have a MacBookAir and I'm using a Sacheti adapter (certified by and purchased from Apple) that runs also HDMI to my Samsung monitor, reads my SDXC cards and has also USB that normally connects to an external drive. After some hours, the adapter stops feeding the battery nor the Mac, so forcing you to reboot at some time because the battery empties. After rebooting, the power adapter always restarts charging, so the steps in this video are actually not necessary in this situation. All I have to do is reboot from time to time, though that's exactly what I want to avoid!
