lowkey, and hot take, I think Jaq could become a staple in some emerald lists down the road over Lye. Being able to force big threats like Diablo, Hirum, Tamatoa, and such to attack or force opponents to extert them to sing can be really good and has proven to be a good form of board control (John Silver from Set 1 proved otherwise). Helps that it's a really good turn 3 play that develops your board and is a aggro threat with 2 lore. Just a better, playable version of "The Beast is Mine!"
Kurt could have won if he Brawled that evasive Flynn Rider or atleast prolonged the game enough to make a come back. He valued Maui over Brawl and didn’t even play the Maui. Hopefully he took that as a lesson.
