I appreciate your methodical approach to mixing; manipulating and isolating one variable at a time, going to the extremes on either end to get a sense of what range you have to work with, and then adjusting it when put into context. Should be okay. The audio goes into the camera with a stereo out cable so I'm not sure if the camera audio quality is a bit "meh" but should be okay for the demo.
@@mlsoundlab There's definitely something odd going on! The whole thing is in mono which is making it sound a bit weird (plus it's a lot quieter than the dialogue, making the mix sound less powerful). It's easy done!
@@MikaTarkela Listen at 10:38 on a stereo setup (i.e. not a phone speaker!) all the drums are in mono. There's all this weird phasing because of it and you get the odd artefact in stereo. Sounds super strange!
There's always minimal distortion/saturation involved, even when the knobs are set to 0, so I wouldn't recommend it for pure, clean tones. Get the Darkglass VST instead.
Probably not, no. FF Saturn just requires some more processing, e.g. splitting your bass track into multiple ones and divide them by frequency, so you can just compress the low end and distort just the mids and highs.

The Neural guys really did a great job. I'll admit that when I first heard about this months ago I didn't get how good it would be. :)
All of the demos I've seen for this plug-in are modern metal tones. Is the plug-in overkill for standard rock, blues, funk Ampeg-type tones?
I'll probably make a demo for rock at some point.

Anyone ever experience denormalization issues with the Parallax? I'm experiencing clipping type noise when using it within Reaper.
