I'm from Brooklyn, NYC and this is the first I'm hearing of this genre of music. The atmosphere seems so beautiful and the song was smooth. I'm going to look into this more.
Yo, I'm from Brooklyn too, it's like DC's GoGo music had a baby with country mixed with contemporary R&B mixed with Chicago Stepping. It also loosely reminds me of Zouk and Konpa from the French Caribbean i.e. Martinique, Haiti, and Guadeloupe.
I am from Baltimore, MD. I loving the atmosphere and music. Our dance we do is Hand Dancing. It’s similar to this dance. I wanna go to Louisiana to see this live. I love it.
When I was six years old I saw Clifton chenier live at stepping stone ranch.. Saw boozoo at ninigret park all in Rhode Island new England before they passed on thanx to my father who worked security for festivals..

Let the good times roll Lebeau Louisiana Home of zydeco festival Thanks to Mrs Bertha Bush (&Mr bean) I have been blessed to meet many great musicians that the rest of the world will never know and hear songs only few have heard this is a well know artist around here everyone a fan keep me comin
I learned of Zydeco maybe 6 years ago. I never knew it existed and I’ve been simply in awe since I’ve been introduced to it. I guessed that my attraction to this music is because my maternal grandmother was from Louisiana although she migrated to NY and gave birth to all of her children there. So as one of her grands I was not familiar with our Louisiana roots. But something feels like home for me.❤
Come to Huntsville, Alabama and show em how Da Boot do it. I love your music. I play Zydeco everyday. When I was deployed it was what I listened to when I missed home.
Zydeco music is really beautiful and smooth. I just don't understand why these damn bands don't venture out into other parts of the United States to spread the love. I think people in places like California and New York would love this. Especially since it would be something new to them. Its a shame. I guess these guys are comfortable with being limited to the South.....SMH
They have been traveling internationally. My family has been all over the world sharing zydeco music. Japan, the u.k, London just to name a few. Also other artist have traveled abroad as well. Also they travel all over the country as well. My Uncle also travels the world teaching zydeco dancing. They have zydeco cruises that also give new people an experience. You dont get Grammys by just being a local southwest Louisiana artist.
Zydeco artist has traveled the world they played in new York, California, Philadelphia, DC, Texas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, mississippi, Arkansas, Australia, Switzerland, UK, Sweden, germany, France, Georgia they literally live on the road. It's the people in the states don't love zydeco like we do. The Grammys even took back its category and made it a folk music which it's not zydeco used to have its own category until recently.
I was this age when I ever heard this genre of music From Jersey but been in Atlanta . I love it really sounds like what my moms grandma was listening back in Ala in they days
