I have a pair and love them. The leather on this shoe is much more stiff and actually more thick than the current Jordan one high OG. I thought it was mid material at first glance but was way wrong. The leather breaks in very nice but it takes a while to do so. Have crease protectors in as well.

I managed to cop a pair for retail and man these automatically have become my favorite pair of AJ1s that I own. More than my travis and more than my turbo greens! The leather on these is just something else. It is stiff, yes, but this that kind of leather that needs to break in over time and just will keep looking better and better.

Many others reporting that the leather is not that great. I doubt they will get any better with wear. Look way too stuff and plasticky.

I copped for retail..got a win here in Chicago on the footlocker flx app..I don’t think I’m gonna wear my pair it really is a collection piece considering the limited pairs and the packaging..the leather is stiff..a lot of ppl think it’s cheap leather cause they are used to the soft tumbled leather that’s been coming out for the last couple years...resale is only gonna get higher once the little timmys are done dumping their pairs.

Some ppl legit think it’s cheap they’re like oh it’s not tumbled it’s not soft not knowing that leather is actually smooth of the hide before the tumbling process.

Yes, wearing a shoe makes it no longer “dead stock” and decreases its value. However even used shoe prices can rise over time if they’re in good condition and it’s a sought after shoe.
Would you recommend going true to size on Jordan 1 LA to Chicago ? Because i did and it was much more tight then a normal jordan 1 and it was pinching me on the side.
I went true to size as well and I will admit, it's a bit tighter than my other jordan 1s

dude i think these are going to hop over resale for all the aj1’s currently in the market; even the unions. 23k is insanely small, and for all the collectors u’d be dumb to not cop for resale right now. these will hit 4.5k in less than three years, even IF there are remasters in og colorways. btw i’ve said it before, but those la to chi sb 1’s will leap almost as high. its the last super limited model in that silhouette. (i flew to NY to cop those from kith) . for people who are wearing their aj1’s casually, this is the one. just go look at rocky’s fits

Clifford Samuels 1985 leather was thick and got better with every time you wore the shoe. 2013 and up is all thin leather not built to last. Also when breaking another persons ankle you don’t want leather with a lot of give I mean you want some give but the 1985 gives you the perfect amount of give. I’ve had 2013 2016 2017 air jordan 1 models and I have to say the 85s were it but the color blocking was not their.

Nima Rastad Believe me, I know good leather. People hyping you because YOU OWN THEM creates a bias. Look around at reviews and you will see many many people saying they are NOT good leather. Good leather is the Banned 1s from 2011, the Shattered Backboards, the Sail from the Premium Pack. This flat stuff that has clearly been mixed with some other form of plastic compound is just not good. Have you ever held thousand dollar saint laurents? Or Dior B22s? No. So you just wouldnt get it. Watch reviews of the new beginnings pack, and EVERYONE says the Air Ship has much better leather than the AJ1, and the leather on these are worse than the AJ1s in that pack. Don’t claim to be a leather expert when you arent buddy
