Mother Angelica - Faith in God

Mother Angelica - a Franciscan nun - was born on the 20th April 1923 as Rita Antoinette Rizzo in Canton, Ohio, USA. She founded the television station EWTN (Eternal Word Television Network).
With 200 Dollar, much trust in God and smiled at by many she began with her television work in the garage of her abbey in Birmingham (Alabama). Her motto: "If you don´t have the courage to do something ridiculous, then God will not make something wonderful out of it."
Mother Angelica early recognized the chances of television to reach many people, so that they will be able through the belief in Jesus Christ to find hope and orientation in their life and to experience the merciful love of God.
Today EWTN is the largest catholic tv station world-wide and it reaches by its different regional programs in English, Spain, German, and French more than 160 million households throughout all 140 countries on all continents.
