"The instruments were recorded back in 2020. At that time I was actually in contact with Mikael Sehlin (now from Amaranthe), because I hoped he would record vocals for the track. He was keen on the idea, but shortly thereafter he joined multiple bands and didn't have time for this project, which is understandable. Since 2020 I've experimented with various vocal lines, growl, cleans and everything in between. I could never settle. I had relatively clear visions for the track thematically and genre wise, but I could never get there. It always ended up without an identity. The mix has been reiterated multiple times as well. The first demo I sent to Mikael sounded vastly different and not great. The song now features my own vocals and I had the opportunity to pursue a few styles and inspirations throughout. Musically, I think you'll be able to hear the influence of bands like In Flames quite noticeably. For now I'm happy with how it turned out. Hopefully you'll enjoy it!"
