Those Killer Klowns may be goofy but despite that they're still a force to be reckoned with considering that their custard pies are very acidic and can melt anyone or anything they come in contact with. And is it me or does Shorty putting that giant cherry on top of that dead security guard's body look rather adorable and cute?

I don't know about everybody else, but I often forget that these clowns are really aliens. After seeing the inside of their ship, imagine what their home planet must be like. Maybe we'll get to see a bit of it in the sequel. You never know.
It probably has circus themed buildings of all shapes and sizes on it with lots of circus themed stuff and has large numbers of clowns walking the streets doing all sorts of tasks.

If you listen closely, you can hear audible hissing noises coming from the pie/security guard pile (when Shorty puts the big cherry on top of it) Whatever the klowns used in those pies when making them, it was powerful enough to liquify the security guard within seconds of the pies making contact with him. The acid in the pies was also potent enough to continue dissolving the guard, and likely continued to dissolve the guy until there was nothing left of him.
This movie reminds me of a time when I got lost deep in the woods when I was kid playing hide and go seek and I came across some creepy looking clowns dissecting multiple bodies. I have always hated clowns since. They did give me a free cookie and a balloon to keep quiet tho. To this day that was the best cookie I ever had.

Hands down, the detail on the clowns faces are masterful! Also, very wise of the Chidos to use a great talent like John Vernon. He brought a credibility to the "cheese". He brought that to "Animal House"! Delta House Forever! Still missin' Belushi...
I love how no one talks about Bibbos actor tripping in this scene. When they are walking in he stumbles and looks so off putting, but thankfully shorty takes all the attention so it relatively goes unnoticed.
Fun fact about this scene: the entrance to the funhouse there originally had a pair of big buck teeth in the center but they got knocked off by the taller clown in the first take.

The security guard asks the 5 klowns brandishing 1 pie each, WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO WITH THOSE PIES BOYS in an annoying tone of voice & in an instant he gets pelted with dozens of lethal acid pies before melting into a heap of whipped cream dessert 🍨 & all that remains of him are his bones & flashlight🔦 & 1 of the 5 klowns walking past the dessert heap puts a cherry 🍒 on top of it.
I'll be honest the part with the clowns throwing pies at that guard, it would've been funnier if they threw regular old pies, cuz at this point we'd be expecting the pies to do something sinister and instead we'd get a classic clown gag
