We love using our blue cups from Amazon. They are great for larger birds like turkeys and peafowl. We get so much rain they refill themselves. But the portal feeders they get mildew in summers. But love your channel lots of similar projects planned here. And tractor vids helps!
I appreciate this educational video. Been researching on the options on feeders and waterers because we have 6 week old chicks that we're gonna b moving out to the coop. First time chicken owners 😊
The watering cups are the bomb! Been using red ones and the blue ones for 3 years. The blue ones survived the turkeys (our heaviest breeds) and winter freeze, and clog less than the 5 brands I've tried on Amazon!
What is the real low down on the TSC Chicken Coop??? Please be honest!!!! I see you pulled it for now. Mine - will have to serve my purposes for now though. I have a feeling folks are shedding these things. I have seen several used ones for sale too. How long will they even last in terms of service???
On my case they were just pooping on it and keeping everything dirty and smelly. Also I made my chicken run into a chicken tractor and that coop is way to hard to move. It is very heavy.
You need at least 13 gallons to fit the entire bag. I ended up using a 17 gallon heavy duty tote I had on hand and it worked out great. I'd add as he mentioned, put the ports higher. You'll have to refill it more often, but if you put it too low to try to get as much feed as possible used...it doesn't flow properly. He didn't say why he wanted the ports higher, but from my first version where it was too low, that was why. Height for them isn't a concern as I have mine on cinder blocks.
Thank you for being open and honest about how we all can be - imperfect. Blessings

That is good to know I did not know that I couldn't figure out how To Do it.
How do you stop mice from getting inside the feeder
Where did you get yours? I didn't get one like that.

@@cornbreadcreekfarm7458 I hope mine works - till lumber goes down. Then I can build my own.
will the 10 gallon brute hold an entire 50lb bag of feed? how do you like the feed and water system now?
10 gallon trash can only holds about 40 lbs of the feed.
I like it just wish o had drilled the holes for the cups about an inch higher.
