I have driven it a lot on GT road and it never felt underpowered to me at high speed driving n overtaking. In city traffic, it lags a bit but totally normal for family use. If u like racing n cutting then buy 1.6 or 1.8.
If you are buying a brand new car then Corolla Altis 1.6 starts from around 3.2 million ( Xli and Gli are discontinued ). If you can go for Used sedan than i will prefer following. 1. Civic 9th gen ( rebirth) 2. Corolla Altis 1.8 Grande 2016-2017 3. Also keep Brv in mind 2017-2019
The price you have mentioned is of Auto variant. Corolla Altis 1.6 also comes in manual which starts around 31.6 lac without tax. The price mentioned was of lowest variant thats why it was stated " starts from around "
-Yaris has better engine to power ratio -Traction control -Hill Assist -Alloy wheels -And most importantly a hell lot better fuel avg than GLI. 16 km/L (Yaris) and 8.5 km/L (GLI)
Bro Yaris is pretty sexy. I test drove both of them. And my I'm gonna definitely buy Yaris. I agree on that it's a subcompact Sudan and not the size of GLI. But hey it's bigger than city. And with way more features than GLI so it's a plus. My car is hopefully gonna deliver next week.

Which has made it v unstable on sharp turns with lot of body roll. Looks ki to baat hi ma karein. Corolla is 100 times better. That's y as soon as yaris was launched there was an onn on both XLI AND GLI as people desperately wanted to get a proper sedan at a price lower than altis and grande and not a sandwiched sedan. On a lighter note bro, agar aap ko yaris sexy lag rahi hai to aap apni sex ki definition check karwain. Hahahahaha.
Gli / altis corolla is far superior as a car when compared to yaris due to the following: 1. engine is more tough 2. Length is more 3. Space is more 4. Back knee room is more 5. Cabin is more open 6. Gli has an arm rest 7. The back lights are more pretty 8. Yaris doesn't have alarm button in the key 9. Gli corolla trunk opening is much bigger Why would any one buy a yaris over a gli !!

Altis 1.6 AT has more power as compared to Gli 1.3 AT because of that it has less avg than 1.6
