Was nothing to do with the fact that they hadn’t won a super rugby final since 2012 and were sick of getting thrashed every year.
Why wasn't Clarke taken off for either of the two clear head knocks he took in the game? The 2nd one (Brumbies YC) looked pretty bad. It's just so inconsistent. A card is given for dangerous play because a player hit his head, but that player doesn't get checked for concussion? MIMS.
Isn't rugby the most popular sport in New Zealand? I don't understand why in a Super Rugby semi-final played at the capital city the stadium is half empty
Would be a home final for the Blues, but it probably still wouldn't sell out. The Auckland public sucks when it comes to supporting their sports teams.
For the people confused about the the lack of spectatorship, lets point out the obvious. The game just sucks now. It's not fun to watch anymore. Arbitrary yellow yards for accidental contact to the head has ruined the sport, cause now people realise that unlucky bumps to the face can change the entire result. There's no common sense in how the game is controlled anymore
Like watching paint dry, this is not a Super Rugby comp…the one I used to watch involving Saffer teams and proper match ups was when this was a real comp🙄

Wow what a disappointing semi, not even competitive Only one team on the field. What happened to Super Rugby, there is nothing super with semi final 🤔😔
Sad state of super rugby ,coupled with rule changes softening the game even more and to many complicated rules where there is no focus whatsoever to let the game flow freely, its killing the game ,refs are blowing the whistle for almost every little thing making it more boring and lackluster, world rugby needs to get rid of some unnecessary laws
I hate how i know if a team is defending inside the 22 that their will be a 99% chance the attacking team will get a penalty everytime. I put my stop watch on
Reckon the last years world cup dropped the interest in rugby as shown by those empty seats. When fans watch a game knowing that the referee's interpretation is going to be the deciding factor in close games it's no longer a sport.
Blues were cruising for most of this game. Brumbies just completely outmatched physically for long stretches. Perofeta was again a mixed blessing: some lovely touches but a couple of real brain farts along with them. He's definitely got talent but shouldn"t really be in the All Blacks conversation, not seriously. His decision making is too impulsive, his kicking game is ordinary and hus tendency to run rapidly into space and then just as rapidly run out of ideas makes him as much a liability as an asset.
Oh big surprise, two New Zealand teams in the final. Called it before the comp even started. Will call next year as well, if same teams next year, guess what?!? New Zealand team wins again. Boring! Ye attack me, but for teams outside New Zealand it becomes boring and predictable, spectators from other countries want to feel their teams have a chance, but for this comp for too long non New Zealand teams are tired of playing in a comp they can't win, it destroys interest. Sport is about winning and losing, not losing all the time or never winning a large competition year after year.
2011 was the last time a non NZ team won. Insane stat lol. No wonder the competition is on the decline. Yet NZ refs continue to be awfully impartial and today was no different.
Why not start a rugby league that trades players across countries, like many European soccer leagues and the British soccer league. That way you have players from different countries playing in a team and it evens out the teams.
The thing is Australia though if they kick the South African teams out they could easily win a Superrugby cup but still Aussie rugby sucks do they know i even switch of my TV when 2 Aussies teams play against each other

I wouldn’t worry unless the TV viewers dissapear, THATS when rugby would be dead and have no money
@@michaelmoynihan9591who said kiwi rugby is dying we are still the house power of union, why do you think the All blacks is considered the most successful rugby team in the world, it only dead in Aus because of league and afl
lets be honest. Super Rugby without South Africa sucks...
Definitely 🎉
Well the New Zealand Rugby board thought they we clever excluding us or voting us out or whatever happened, meanwhile we are drawing huge crowds for for the URC and European rugby so go figure, maybe they weren't as clever as they thought after all, by the way 4 more years boys 4 more years 😂😂😂
Absolutely!
@@neilleefon6894super rugby board is (was ) comprised of representatives from all the participating countries. It wasn’t NZs decision.
The super rugby board made the desicion together. From what Ive heard South Africa wanted to move to the UK for ease of travel and also cost. Was nothing to do with the fact that they hadn’t won a super rugby final since 2012 and were sick of getting thrashed every year.

Counter rucking have become so difficult lately. How ever will a ball be turn over in a ruck ?
Super Rugby needs a complete overhaul... judging by crowd attendance..
Come on canes in front of 30000 + at the cake tin
Why wasn't Clarke taken off for either of the two clear head knocks he took in the game? The 2nd one (Brumbies YC) looked pretty bad. It's just so inconsistent. A card is given for dangerous play because a player hit his head, but that player doesn't get checked for concussion? MIMS.
Ref did real well with only a few hiccups. No wonder why himself and Angus are reffing the finals.
😂 your kidding right!?
Why does Auckland hate rugby😂 $10 tickets for the kiddies couldn't even force them out.
Kids should be free or this game will die in couple generations
Eddie Jones watching this and having a laugh 😂
Eddie Jones is a joke, his Wallabies couldn't even get out of pool play😂
All these "lack of attendance in the stadiums" comments by people who never even turn up to the games...
Empty Stadium, in south Fr@nce there's cities with 100k population that can pack a 20k stadium.
Isn't rugby the most popular sport in New Zealand? I don't understand why in a Super Rugby semi-final played at the capital city the stadium is half empty
Just watch the game not the stadium basstarddd😂😂😂
blues wanted it more, cup stays in nz now. roll on the next semi.
I'm from SA, you guys will know, what happened with the Crusaders?
Super Rugby is dying, the attendance at this “semi-final” confirms it
who's winning tomorrow's match?
Did not see this result any other way and the Blues will be champs.
Porqué durante todo el torneo los estadios no se llenan y hay lados completamente vacíos? Entradas muy caras? Falta de interés?
Blues had to only play the first 25 minutes at full tilt and then take off the gas. It was always going to be that type of game.
Should have been a Saturday afternoon game .
Allows people to get to the game
Blues vs chiefs final
Yeah g agree that would be mean
Would be a home final for the Blues, but it probably still wouldn't sell out. The Auckland public sucks when it comes to supporting their sports teams.
@@khankake9576 neh just boring rugby union
@@khankake9576up the wahs
Blues vs canes.
Good result for the Blues who were too strong physically.
🔵🔵🔵
For the people confused about the the lack of spectatorship, lets point out the obvious. The game just sucks now. It's not fun to watch anymore. Arbitrary yellow yards for accidental contact to the head has ruined the sport, cause now people realise that unlucky bumps to the face can change the entire result. There's no common sense in how the game is controlled anymore
This is because of refrees taking the flavour of rugby.after what they didi to drua.
The reality is that TV knows league will draw a bigger crowd and hopefully sitting at home thus the other semi final is not in prime time
Yeah when All black are playing different story it will be 50 thousand plus at Eden. Rugby still number 1
Exactly, the All Blacks themselves always bring a full house
Another coulda shoulda woulda from the Aus teams…
They're a bloody joke those aussies can't even win their own lineouts and restarts, must be hard being a rugby supporter in Australia
Like watching paint dry, this is not a Super Rugby comp…the one I used to watch involving Saffer teams and proper match ups was when this was a real comp🙄
Surely you at least watched the other SF
The players are garbage now
This one is for little Michael Moynihan!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Nah Mike's a weirdo bro he's actually an Irish man posing as a aussie he's still hurting from the world cup exit no aussie is that negative towards us kiwis he's hurting bad a strange paddy he is
I'm delighted you remember me.we were robbed .ref was paid off.typical kiwi paid ref.cheat,s fact
Can,t wait for the pommies to batter ye .?😂😂😂😂😂😂
Paid ref.we were robbed agan fact.
I m delighted you remember me? 😂😂😂 I have that effect?😂😂😂 .can,t wait for the pommies to batter ye.😂😂😂
Crowd is shockingly small. Nz supporters taking the sport for granted
30 thousand plus at sky stadium today
And what happened 😂😂😂😂
Justice. Julle wil mos!
So both stadiums in NZ was pretty much empty. Why is that? It's Semifinal. Do people really don't care about top domestic league in that part of the world? Or the culture is to just watch it on TV? I wonder if Mitre 10 cup attracts more spectators to the stadium.
Since when did deliberately playing a player in the air with the player landing dangerously only become a yellow card?
We honestly need the SOUTH AFRICAN TEAMS BACK IN SUPER RUGBY
Clearly forward passes,The Officials Are a big let down
If they moved that game to eurooe the crowds would be bigger with no real supporters
UP DA WAHS
F**k off to league 😂😂
Ooff should have booked a bigger stadium. Is it that miserable back home? 😂 #cheersauntycindy
I don't wanna see the ABs full of Blues.
No one leaves Auckland alive🫡
What a pathetic attendance
Wow what a disappointing semi, not even competitive
Only one team on the field.
I put my stop watch on
@@ShaquilleOatmeal730yep definitely bro ,its almost guaranteed they will get it
Reckon the last years world cup dropped the interest in rugby as shown by those empty seats. When fans watch a game knowing that the referee's interpretation is going to be the deciding factor in close games it's no longer a sport.
compare this to europe club semifinals, disapointing!!
The bulls leinster match was test match quality. This is garbage
Christie can’t be in the ABS squad. He has poor attack . Perenara ratima Hotham or Fakatava in the ABS squad !
i got 5 on it 🕺dont phuk me over canes
Last night south Sydney vs Brisbane Broncos play at empty stadium, nobody complains sheez
at this rate Australia is just making the numbers in Super Rugby LMAO... haha
@SamWhite-no6dd 2014 was the last time a team from outside of NZ won.
So what do you suggest ? If one team is too good and nobody can beat them? What is your master plan to save the sport
maybe you guys should get good instead of complaining.
Why not start a rugby league that trades players across countries, like many European soccer leagues and the British soccer league. That way you have players from different countries playing in a team and it evens out the teams.
go the chiefs!
The thing is Australia though if they kick the South African teams out they could easily win a Superrugby cup but still Aussie rugby sucks do they know i even switch of my TV when 2 Aussies teams play against each other
Bloody officials and the associations ruin everything for the fans
That's why there's more empty chairs..
My team can't play like this in the final. The Chiefs will cut our gonads.
super rugby americas
the bahammas are gonna win
baby
Does not surprise me the brumbies losing.
The best Aussie team and they were smashed at every set piece and manhandled like children. Doesn't bode well for the Lions or The Championship.
Bye bye Brumbies
That’s a red card all day long in the new rules.
